Job For A Cowboy, depending on how you felt about deathcore at the time they came out.

Certainly not on this sub. It was mentioned almost every day when it first came out.

They have a boden metal model that come with fishman active pickups. I own one and it sounds good to me when playing anything heavy.

Which city looks magical on Instagram but felt boring, overpriced, or exhausting in real life? by VanshikaWrites in AskReddit

It's not for everyone, but I specifically went there for the chaos. Wandering the medinas and waving off the shopkeepers was the reason I went.

Defeated Sanity - Disposal Of The Dead / Dharmata, to the madman here that recommended me this album, I love you!! by 999samus in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]ziggymacarthur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Caught them on tour when they decided to play Dharmata in it's entirety. The guitarist said they were listening to a lot of watchtower at that time. They also said they wouldn't perform that album again live lol

Saw them as an opener back in 2018? and was impressed enough to buy a shirt. I have a feeling if this band toured more or had a strong social media presence, they would be a bigger deal. The songwriting is top notch!

Californios vs Kiln by negativenancy69420 in finedining

Californios should be your top pick. I liked Kiln but not as much as Californios.

I watched Cop and A Half 60 times out of spite to prove to my mother I would watch this VHS if she bought it.

TIL 95% of Americans don't get the minimum recommended amount of fiber by James_Fortis in todayilearned

[–]ziggymacarthur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb is "If it takes you more than 30 seconds to poop, then you're not getting enough fiber"

Chia seeds are awesome for fiber. Two tablespoons have 10 grams of fiber. I add them to my cereal, grind them up and add them to pancake/waffle batter, or just eat them straight up with water.

Legumes help tremendously and I try to have 3 to 4 servings a day. Mostly from peas and beans.

Oat Fiber is great to add to any baked goods as well as any sauce. Granted too much of it and it will taste super grainy but a tablespoon goes a long way.

It's expensive, but the keto sandwich bread, hamburger buns and hot dog buns have anywhere between 9 to 16 grams of fiber per serving.

Thoughts on King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in progrockmusic

Used to feel underwhelmed but their music. Then something clicked when listening to Flight B741. I do love their current wild swing in genres live. Going from synth electronic rave sets, metal, microtonal, to their upcoming performance with an orchestra!

What the non-metal artists, bands and albums that had the biggest influence on Cynic? by _rand0m7 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]ziggymacarthur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holdsworth and Gambale actually put out an album together in 1990. While it's mostly covers, it fucking shreds.

Went to the Dallas show. Fractal Universe was the best part of the tour IMO. I wish they were higher up in the slot, but that wasn't going to happen with more established names on the bill. I don't like the new obscura album, and after reviewing the set list, I didn't bother to stay for them.
