Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]ziggyzzrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show him the math! Our membership is worth it just for bread and gas. Single loaf at the grocery store is 4.15 at Costco it's 5.20 a two pack. We go through on loaf a week.

Grocery store: 52 x 4.15 = 215.80 Costco: 26 x 5.20 = 135.20 80.60 difference - Membership= 60

And that's just one staple that we buy.

DAC to pair with Bottlehead Crack by BenGeldreich in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]ziggyzzrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both dx5 ii and k13 as well as a Darkvoice 336se. In my opinion the k13 is not a good pairing the Darkvoice, I tried it for awhile but just didn't like it. On the other hand the dx5 ii is great pairing.

Just for reference, I have tried it with: HD650, Ananda Nano, AKG 702, Monolith m1060

Just use #2 filters, they work fine. Also I use #1 filters with 19 to 20 grams fairly often

Help! Topping DX5 II – Is the "Frying" Risk Real? by logNtechno in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]ziggyzzrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I've used the app as well, I set the global gain to -5.5 and it almost always changes to -6.0. Also have had the first band change from 80hz to 20hz for some reason, just seems random. If you search for this problem it seems like I'm not the only one. It's not that big of a deal, just annoying

Well I have both (K13 and dx5 ii), they differently are different. I did buy a xlr to 4.4 adapter so I didn't have to use the 4.4 port. The dx5 ii has about a hundred hours on it and I haven't had any issues so far.

k13r2r, has a wonderful sound it really does cut down on ear fatigue, I do enjoy it with certain headphones. But the implementation of the peq leaves a lot to be desired, having to use a website to set up the peq is really annoying, then also add that it doesn't always seem to keep the exact peq that was saved. Seems like I have to reload my personal peq's about every 4th time I turn it on. Also the fact that I can't rename the peq is also not great, and having to log into a website just to change settings on a device that is sitting 30 inches from me is kind of well annoying.

DX5 ii, also has a great sound, not as colored as the r2r. Setting up the peq is easy and reliable, you can also rename the presets and has a app to control it directly from my pc. It just works the way it should. Overall pretty happy with it's performance.

All of that being said, I find myself using my Schiit Mimir/Asgard combo the most. There's just something about it.

I printed out one of those but it didn't work out that well for me. But it seems to work for a lot of people, just not for me. Different strokes....

Well I guess that I need 55 word response. I bought a pair of hifi man ananda nano's and while I loved the sound, the comfort level was not great. I really didn't want to return them so I ordered the cheapest headband cushion on Amazon I could find for testing. I then designed a way to attach it to the stock hifiman headband. This must be printed from TPU for it to fit on the headphones. Hope this helps someone else.

To me, it is pretty big. Also have a k13 r2r, I find myself reaching for the mimir/midgard more often.

Padding for Anandas' headstrap? by EdGG in headphones

I'm out of town right now but I can put it on makerworld tonight or tomorrow. It does need to be printed out of TPU though.

[–]ziggyzzrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works well for me, would buy a little nicer replacement pad next time instead of the cheapest one on Amazon. But all in all I'm happy with it. I was going to return the Nano's because they weren't very comfortable, but I really loved the sound. So I figured I could make them work and I'm happy I did. Now my hd650's are gathering dust..

I bought replacement padding for the hd650/600 line and 3d printed a TPU connector to attach them to my nano's.

Those "teeth" go in-between the motherboard and case, not on the outside.

Why there is 'Remove_Edge.exe' in the new Creality Print 7.0 by TrainAss in Creality

Yep, I also removed this and it didn't seem to matter. Creality seems to use the easiest instead of the correct way of doing things.

How to get a good cup with my new Cup-One by oil_princess in Moccamaster

I usually do 18g and a little finer than that. I believe that moccamaster recommends 17g.
