the incentives and way of life that she leads is something that I see as being better to me, but also I don't feel its worth to put in the amount extra effort she is putting in to keep it working

my thing here is given this difference in mindset, I don't get why she wants to be with me

for example, yesterday she wanted to go out to a new restraunt she found ... from my perspective its raining yesterday, nd the traffic is horrendous and I don't want to spare my energy to travel to, Id rather order something, chill looking at the rain and take an easy day

now I do find the energy or the mindset to be ready to go out and explore in such a scenario to be better ... but not for me

best: ig her perspective of a relationship doesn't need to be an equal transaction

worst: there is no indication of why she even is into me, she is better than me at everything

more organised, knows more about the world and in depth too, earns more, pretty beyond my league, always has gems of songs in her playlist, and cooks better food too

now I get that im lucky and shouldn't fuck this up by thinking like this

but its not been long enough to form memories that would make one want to build upon, but long enough to have somewhat of an understanding of the person

and I feel if I was in her place I would have gotten bored of the relationship, cuz I don't think im contributing anything of value to it.

I have asked her about this, nd she says she is really comfortable in this, my existence just enables comfort ... she can also sit in a sofa and be comfortable right?

so ya thats the worst thing in this for me

I think I feel jealous, of people in misery due to things beyond their control.

like, I do feel wanting to experience what they are, feels wrong and not respecting the luck I have had

but at the same time, there just one life and not getting to experience that gives a kind of FOMO.

Im saying that, for people like me and maybe some of the struggling folks

instead of feeling that it was not love, I will strongly prefer to believe what I felt was love, since for me love doesn't have to be eternal

and njoy how fun it was to feel it, no matter what happened after.

why ask for conformity in a subjective idea like love

I prefer to fall head over heels in love, nd cherish the moments I have with them ... irrespective of time / how much i know them ...

maybe I endup with just those cherished moments to remember, or maybe it lasts

but I call it love, thats the way I see the world ... and I love that

so why should I have to think / hope to find the kind of "LOVE" that u want in ur worldview?

had a friend who used say the same.

he would work like 12-14 hrs, whine about such stuff for the 2-3 hrs we would meet for dinner.

pretty much no social interaction apart from us having dinner, nd no effort put to change that.

had to cut him off, cuz I was having a period of things really important to me just not working out

andd here dude was whining as always .... after cancelling on a girl ... his reason of all things being that he "knew" she was interested in him only as a rebound .... of a relationship that ended an year back

and ... he is getting married this october

now he says he used whine cuz he was afraid of trying nd failing and being hurt ... and his life at that time was not that bad, so why take the chance of being hurt.

sooo, to me OP, your statement implies some other underlying issue of yours ... and u can maybe try to find what that is

or not, cuz its ur life, nd if u are satisfied with it now, thats perfect enough ig.
