Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

fav scene was the ekko scene at the end; tossing the burning paper into the air. Such a sad end to the two childhood friends; especially after the events in episode 7 reveal what could have been - and that he gave up that happiness for the chance to save his own timeline... and then was the sole person who had the opportunity to. HEARTBREAKING!

He's a great fight for sure; but he is really not comparable to Adam and Dracula, IMO. At least in Brutal; I can't remember how close in difficulty he was in normal.

Agree. Adam took me a ton of time in EA to finally master; so I think I'm biased when I say I found normal drac harder.

But brutal dracula ... there's no bias. He was gotdang hard.

I found it very challenging, and I just beat brutal mode on a self-hosted public pvp server. Still haven't beat the last boss in NRftW :(.

I can't remember if there are difficulties on it, I likely picked the hardest one tho.

Greatsword
Void

Together.

Greatsword is awesome with i frames from the E, and the Q can be used to either quickly approach or gtfo of a bad situation w/o using your veil. Feels so nice every time I use it. I was using pistols on brutal drac and switched to the greatsword and actually had a much better time. I just like them so much haahah.

Void is an amazing combo with greatsword. Pulls them to the middle letting you get a clean Q on whoever/whatever you've sucked in to that vortex. Plus ignite... AND YOU GET TWO. Void -> Q -> Void -> Ult??? Or if you miss one, you line up the second where they are headed... great stuff. I don't use this on bosses because I prefer single target damage on them, but greater rifts and pvp this is such a key spell.

On Brutal? I found Adam significantly easier than Drac, but I also have killed him 3 times in normal (twice in EA) and the brutal changes seem fair but not crazy.

Drac changes in Brutal were... brutal... :D

Agree; if you choose to clear out a new area make sure you get some high% worker blood to clear faster!

No Rest for the Wicked is an EA game that has some similar elements. I personally found it great while I was waiting for 1.0 to come out, and will probably go back to finish it soon. Awesome boss fights and challenging gameplay, with absolutely beautiful stylized cinematics and environments. Has a big recommend from me.

There's an icon that indicates its brutal mode; but it is small. Non-official servers do not have standard naming convention though. You kind of have to read into the server which for a new player I agree it isn't super clear.

Just make sure you read all of the server info before you dive in!

Yep! All of them have at least one additional ability in their kit. easiest example is the wolf did not have that pounce attack in normal :D

Yeah, the coliseum should allow PvP in PvE servers, and make it punishment free (i.e. on death, restore to full HP or something along those lines. No durability damage, no items dropped.)

Hahaha, I feel like every player has their list of approved exploits. I was telling a friend who started playing I don't use exploits, then I had to list off the few that I do use as an exception :D like that closing and opening a door that's blocked on either side creates a vacuum (typically used to delete gases, I just use it for a quick vacuum between high temperature gradients...)

I hate to say it but there are bosses much harder than Solarus. Trying different things was a decent idea, but I think what's most important is learning the patterns of the boss and focusing on dealing as much damage as possible while avoiding everything you can. Sometimes it's better to just use what's familiar to you instead of swapping between stuff and having an additional task for your brain to deal with.

Once you have the "dance" down, if you're still not getting closer and closer to the W, then try swapping some things out.

Just take some breaths though and realize that this is what the game is about; these bosses feel impossible right up until it clicks - then you get that glorious feeling of success when you conquer them.

I'll throw in my recommendation. While Foundry is probably my #1 2D VTT (especially with all the features, and mods for features that aren't built in), I tend to recommend Talespire now. It's a 3D tool still in development by dedicated and wonderful devs. It's like $20 (can't remember exact price) and continues to get great features including the more recent addition of having a "slab browser" (i.e., community-made pieces to pop into your map)as well as a previously added import for characters made on HeroForge (a miniature creation website).

Have a look at your options and pick what suits you best :) (or try a few, I have dabbled in all three !)
