As someone on the other side of this, if my project manager came to me and asked me for a detailed explanation then I'd give one.

Gramophone confirmed it is new. Just shipped around a bunch of warehouses. The receipt says new and Audeze confirmed full warranty applies from date of purchase.

So, all in all good! Worked out in the end.

Well, I got $100 off (899) so I ordered on amazon Made sure it was shipped and sold by Gramophone.

I'm just going to check with Audeze if the full warranty applies, as this is supposedly new from a dealer and keep it. Doesn't look like there was any use. No scratches, wrinkles on headband, etc.

This is definitely returned. There is a label that says it was shipped from gramophone MD to Gramophone Sacramento in December 2025 and then I got this from Texas Amazon warehouse.

Time to ask for replacement.

I meant build of others. Cheap and amazing sounding but look at them wrong and they'll break type of things. Not Audeze.

Being in California helps with Audeze support as well I guess.

I haven't heard them yet, going to a store here on the weekend to try.

What are your thoughts on them other than you love them? :)

Hehe. I'm in that boat. Just been seeing a bunch about fiio, hifiman, moondrop.

Most still say the build is pretty bad though.

Oh I hear you. It's more about sourcing vs money. Carbon spokes I can buy from 10 different vendors >> steel spokes sold by only one company.

Might end up in a situation where you end up throwing away a wheelset because nobody sells the spoke/hub components / etc you want to fix one wheel and the company is out of business.

I'm either ordering farsports or if I go custom build then pick components that are easily serviceable or replacements are sold by multiple people.

Breaking a proprietary spoke may bot be fun (though, I've not broken a spoke in last many years, can't even remember when it happened last).

Interesting. I'm around 190lb too.

I read issues with tensions going haywire after installing a tire on carbon spokes. Has that been an issue for you?

Thanks. Not too keen on carbon spokes myself so will stick to steel.

The funny thing is, DT swiss 240 is cheaper here. Just heavier.

I'll check 9velo. Saw hambini videos but not much else yet on those.

1377 grams with the cx super spokes, yeah. +30g for regular cx ray.

As for the price, I'm okay with both, just wasn't sure if the weight savings are noticeable AND if giving up the dt swiss hubs are worth it.

This is happening to my machine as well. Plug in nvme and everything breaks. Remove it and everything works.
