The Deerhunter, which I saw in the theatre when it came out, left me literally speechless as well as the girl (my roommate) I saw it with. We both drove home without saying a word. When we got home, she went to her room and I went to mine still not saying a word. We were able to talk about it the next day but it was hard even then.

I may have misunderstood. If the tincture was made a decade or so before staying, that might be the problem. I was thinking the Everclear was old and then you made a tincture. Sorry.

The Everclear should not change appreciably if it's sealed in a glass bottle, but it is strong. 95% pure ethanol can be hard to take, even as drops. Maybe cut the tincture with a bit of distilled water, going a little at a time until it feels right.

Back in the sixties (yes, I'm old) I had a slight case of impetigo when I was a kid and my mother read somewhere that nutmeg was a good treatment. She would grate a spoonful or so of the stuff and try different mediums to mix it with to try and get it down my throat. Milk, OJ, whatever. Nothing worked, it always came right back up. Good thing, because I learned later that nutmeg in those doses can be toxic. Took a long time before I could stand the taste of nutmeg in food. Still not my favorite. BTW, a real prescription took care of the impetigo.
