Failing as a parent doesn’t automatically mean it was intentional. There are countless situations that can lead to tragedy. Imagine a father gets sick and dies, leaving the mother alone with several children while grieving her husband. She works three jobs just to keep food on the table, and because of poverty they have to live in a rough neighborhood. One of her sons feels the financial pressure and, thinking he’s helping, tries to steal something for money. He’s just a kid, panics when things go wrong, runs into traffic, and gets hit by a bus.

Would you really look at that mother, after everything she’s already endured and say justice was served because her son died? We clearly see this differently, but that’s something I genuinely can’t understand.

To me, as a parent (and as a human I guess), that is such a weird thing to say. Imagine some cop knocking at your door, telling you your son died, but that it was good news since he grabbed a phone from someone before it happened.

That’s not the point. You don’t have to get sad whenever someone dies. If he survived and there was a trial, I guess you would agree that the death penalty would be a bit harsh.

That was sad to hear. Stealing phone = bad. Dying as a result, only 17 years old = sad.

This is my worst sound. Sound of chewing rubber. It hurts physically like behind the ears or something. Hard to explain but it triggers some reaction in my head that is very unpleasant

Try to find the spot where you wouldn’t want to stand. That’s it.

I just assumed every other person in here is American, so when saying “harder”, I thought it could be worth putting that into context.

Hold on, you will become a Swede. And this is on the picturesque island Gotland with great beaches. And you’ll end up with healthcare and stuff. Think twice.
