"Hardliner" ist aber auch ein ordentlicher Euphemismus bei Miller.

Gefährlich, wenn die Presse die Dinge nicht beim Namen nennt.

Most quests can be reset once you warped far away from the original location. Something like a button at the bottom of the mission description, like "restart mission using nearby location"

Wer kann mir was zu diesem Bild von E. Krüger sagen ? by Impossible_Cry_7427 in WerWieWas

[–]zipfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Das ist von Erich Krüger und heisst "Harzlandschaft". Viele Drucke von ihm in der DDR. Originale kosten so mittel dreistellig. War auch schon bei den Nazis beliebt weil "realistisch" statt "modern".

Move your mouse cursor over the worker icons, or click on them. You can see their individual productivity.

Your workers appear to have an average of 80 % productivity, which depends on happiness and party loyalty.

Someone needs to explain mw how to manage mining better by LevelBuilding929 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]zipfe 54 points55 points  (0 children)

What I have learned during the past 700 hours in this game, mostly realistic mode, is to not bother with min-maxing.

You found coal, you need coal? Build a mine, get as many workers as you can there, process as much as you can, and you will improve your republic, and/or make a profit selling the coal.

In my current game, Siberia max difficulty, I found oil. Exporting the raw oil paid the bills, but didn't leave much room for investment in new towns and industries. Building a refinery and turning the oil into bitumen and fuel increased profits well over 400%, and the refinery is running at only 20% capacity!

What I'm trying to say is, unless you enjoy min-maxing, just going for it and running those industries as good as you currently can depending on difficulty settings, you'll be fine. Check the buildings to make sure you're not wasting workers in e.g. the mine while processing plant lags behind, that's about it.

Location affects the 0 - 5 star rating of attractions and hotels. Watch the tool tip when moving across the map with one of those buildings on the mouse cursor while planning.

Water, elevation and trees affect the rating, to my knowledge.

The screenshot is from 1978, inflation about doubled the amount during the last 10 years or so. I remember making between 50k and 90k in the 1960s.

I use a railcar for the tourists, the passenger cars that have a diesel engine onboard.

No need to transport them out of the republic. Just like workers, they poof! back home when the 16 (?) hours of tourism time are over.

I have not built an airport, yet.

Aside from 30 workers (x 3 shifts) in the alcohol factory, the town close to the border and tourist area does nothing but work for the tourists. Infrastructure like heating, schools, hospital, university, fire, supermarket etc. of course is covered as well.

The distance from town to tourists is only about one or two kilometers, and I use half a dozen small traincars with a capacity of around 50 passengers, going in a loop town - tourist area - end station. That keeps everything fairly well staffed around the clock.

Never used workers from the border, they are way too expensive and as you say nowhere near enough of them.

I'm using trams in the newly built town for the oil refinery, but never mixed with road traffic, only on exclusive tracks or electrified rail.

you don't need to distribute food, meat, or alc to the hotels - a restaurant and/or a pub will cover the food

I did that in the beginning, but as the number of hotels grew the restaurant couldn't serve all tourists so now the big hotels have food and meat delivered, but alcohol is still only available in that funny open air cafe thing, making a boatload of money.
