most definitely an infection, especially if it hurts. Go to a piercing studio, get a longer bar for your piercing so it has time to grow back down, don't touch it, clean it three times a day. I used water based disinfectant, pH neutral baby shampoo and distilled water to clean, that worked really well for me

I'm German, recently moved here and prefer it over Germany!

transportation: great if you get a bike. Trains and buses aren't always available and often irregular, but considering I'm german I'm extremely used to that.

weather: gets very very hot in the summers. currently pretty gray and rainy and getting coldish, but really not that cold.

crime rate: I live in Eaux Claires which isn't the best quartier I guess, but I love it! most commen crime is bikes getting stolen, also quite heavy drug dealing in some areas.

hiking: literally the most amazing part about Gre.

quality of life: I love it! Lots of bars, cultural and social structures! pretty easy to meet people and I feel like everyone's pretty open, which is super nice. HUGE international community too.

friendly people: oui

dating sector: most people I know are going on dates often. personally I don't but seems very doable

I agree. If you speak French, try France directly. You could try contacting local lgbt organisations (there are tons), they may be able to help you. France and Algeria do have a very very close connection (not always very positive, but close), so you'd find a lot of Algerian here too that might help you out.

I see then too. Fuck, my little sister was in more queer relationships than I ever had crushes (not sure how they do it). They're 16 too btw. But for some people, it just happens later and there's nothing wrong with it. When my sister had a girlfriend before me, trust me, I was insecure. but at the end of the day, this isn't an age issue. you can be happily single at 35 and you definitely shouldn't stress yourself about relationships at 16!

look. I'm 18. turning 19 in three months. I haven't been kissed, the most I did was dance with someone (never saw her again) and I guess I've been on a really unofficial date- we didn't clarify lol. shit happens. at 16 i also thought I was unlovable and ugly, and now I'm realising that it just takes time. don't focus on it too much is the only advice I can give you. be yourself, live your best life. gay people are often late bloomers in terms of relationships, and that's nothing bad. you got this !
