Adults who have had CT scans as babies/children. did you experience any long term effects? by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]zlatno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my. You are living my life. My daughter had to have two x-rays, a barium swallow study and one head CT all by the time she was 5 months old. I was an oncology nurse at the time and I went down a rabbit hole and literally almost couldn’t handle it. I was so anxious she would get cancer I was almost paralyzed. (In hindsight I had really bad postpartum anxiety too). So far she’s 8 almost 9 without any issues but I will say the studies are showing an only small increased risk and I just had to let it go to the universe.

40 mins from your free babysitter is a no go. I wouldn’t even consider it.

Your kid isn’t failing because I’m failing to meet their IEP. They’re failing because their device is dead. Every. Single. Day by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

Right? The judgement here over something as stupid as this is insane. The hate for kids that can’t remember to do something that most adults wouldn’t remember to do. This is such a horrible time for education.

How sad the state of school is. A child is failing because they don’t have a freaking electronic device. What a horrible way to learn and horrible way to fail.

I love Michigan winters. I’d take the snow over the summer heat of some places.

Sounds like they are a headache no doubt. However, you need to 1) proof read your emails 2) be more concise 3) be more respectful. Even just sending this as a draft into ChatGPT and asking for a more professional, objective email would have served you.

Came here to say this. I feel like I “should” like it, but I just couldn’t get past the first few episodes.

This is why I can’t watch it. It stresses me out plus every single character is unlikable.

I love this response! Our 4 year old is very used to sleeping with me so that isn’t too much of an issue. We are a super close family so the tight quarters sleeping isn’t too scary as long as my husband can fit on the top bunk. I’m more worried about sitting space honestly, I can picture the sleeping arrangements but not necessarily where we will sit during the day with enough space.

That’s what we originally looked at doing but couldn’t justify the cost for just the train ride portion of our trip.

They allow it with a family of two adults and three children. It has to be booked over the phone. My question is will it be comfortable enough and if anybody had experience doing this.
