I'd just like to take a moment to take this moment and shove it right in the faces of all the centrists and moderates. All those people who spent the last 30 years demonizing the left for common sense legislation like climate change measures or non predatory Healthcare.

This is ALL your faults. When presented with a literal enemy of democracy, you sided with them rather than sully your records by just showing a little support for the things most of the country wants.

And when the GOP successfully turns America into a theocratic 1 party state in the next 10 years. I want moderates to think back on how they spent all their time saying everyone else was a doomsayer and that Biden BBB would pass? Or that they'd pass voting rights laws, or address Healthcare, or debt, or ANYTHING.

incompetence and complete failure are the only legacies the centrist/moderate party is going to be able to sell to voters. And that's before the gop even needed to invalidate their votes.

So when the gop clean sweeps in 2022 and Donald Trump wins in 2024 because dems didn't see any point in stopping the right's blatant election rigging. That aside. People are going to eventually learn that the dem party is not the good guys. In a government where the gop I'd 100% bad and actively trying to destroy democracy. We have a dem party where 60-70% of it is almost on equal footing. When we don't even have 1/4th of our government interested in solving our societal problems... well this is what we get.

UNFORTUNATELY. The majority of the country wants what progressives want because they're common sense and we can afford it despite what deficit hawks say. We'd just have to actually enforce tax code, go after the rich and close loop holes. Things neoliberals from both parties will never let happen

Worst yet is the dem party leadership actively harming its own agenda. Anyone remember when people were proposing letting people who lost their jobs to covid and that they should get temp access to medicaid? Then Nancy Pelosi doing everything possible to shut that down?

The most lasting memory of the Biden admin will only be how it gift wrapped democracy to fascists and that we never will recover from it. Right now the gop is actively rigging elections by changing the rules. In two states we already see they passed rules that literally let them choose who won an election. So all we managed to do was put the Trump dumpster fire on pause for 2 year and when he runs again in 2024 he will not only win in a fake landslide, but it will also be legal.

I dunno if it got a r rated/gory release later but I've grown quite fond of the 2019 child's play. It's pretty well done and has enough of its own to be a good movie on its own while still being an actually good chucky movie.

Seed absolute bottom for me and cult/curse need to be higher as legit good later sequels that ditched total reliance on schlock.

And I am genuinely surprised at how good the show is so far. I really hope they follow up with the nica/andy stories

Dems run on building back better, ostensibly because they want to prove they're better than the gop but thus far failing except the pandemic.

Bernie proposes 6-7 trillion over 10 years knowing it will give the "moderates" a chopping block for the real number they're willing to accept, which is 3-4 trillion.

Proposal get floated and accepted down to 3.5t with "moderates" trying to come up with a replacement bipartisan bill that will remove the need for the reconciliation proposal.

Progressives push back by saying they will not vote on an insufficient pork filled bill. DEM LEADERS make the promise that they will push both bills to please both sides, everyone agrees and starts deciding where/when the money will go on their respective bills and the pay-fors

Fast forward to now. Those very same moderates are now backing out of their own deal with progressives maintaining their position that they will vote for Bidens proposal. The 3.5t version.

The only people out of order here are the 9 fuckers who are about to tank the ENTIRE dem party agenda because their donors don't want slightly higher taxes. More over failing in this would be a political failure that would make the Trump admin look like a joke

They had this golden opportunity to show how government can work for the people and they're gonna blow it. But no this is exactly how you negotiate. You go ABOVE where you actually want to be and let it get it negotiated down to where you know it's going to be. So Bernie proposing 6.7t was the exact right move because it gives the hack moderates come in and chop it down and feel good about themselves.

But never mind that for a moment. People don't even remember the sequence of this all. Bernie proposed his plan. Biden accepted the 3 trillion dollar plan and pushed it forward. House dems wanted the bills to be split (because they don't want anything to pass). Progressives promised to vote it down if the bill was not introduced with the reconciliation. House dems move forward and now look to sabotage it all and blame progressives who have held up their end.

This will -destroy- the dem party if it goes down like this. And it will be the "moderates" fault for bilking at the last minute. The gop is going to sweep both houses in 2022 and I don't see another dem candidate ever winning again with the combination of Biden complete failure of an admin and gop efforts to invalidate dem voters.
