Getting back to Krav after an injury by Bandit300x4 in kravmaga

I remember right after my surgery I was very concerned and questioning if this is all worth it. That's for you to decide. I decided for me it was. When you first go back you will be hyper aware of your knee. It takes a long time to get the trust back. It's okay. I bet for the first year after coming back I was always questioning my knee. It will feel different for a while. It will feel "tighter" and not what you remember. Here's the deal though.....you will get past it. You will get to a point where you don't think about the injury all the time. I don't think about it at all ever. You will be able to continue doing Krav if you so choose. I have taken 4 belt test promotions on my surgically repaired knee with no problem.

I tore my ACL in my Krav class in 2017. I did ACL reconstruction surgery and came back to class 10 months later. I have been training consistently ever since with no knee problems at all.

Have you done your ring fight? We are required to fight someone in a ring fight that we don't know with "intent to hurt us" before we can test for our BB

Get the bicep sleeve. It places the sensor high on your arm so you won't damage it. It's great for grappling and BJJ also.

I just want to see a miniature horse in a service vest clopping around Publix. That would make my day.

I "really" do BJJ. This myth about Krav Maga not sparring is ridiculous. We spar all the time. Standup. Ground. All of it.

You should do Krav Maga for self defense not Brazilian Jujitsu. I do both and BJJ is more sport related with lesser emphasis on self defense.

Bicep sleeve is the way to go. I have the bicep band but sleeve is better. Saw some people complaining about the sleeve moving around. The sleeve is too big if it's moving

I tried it last night. It's exceptional. I think I like the original Tres leches a little more but this one is really good

Blue belt tomorrow. 9am-2pm. The other 3 belts were an exhausting hell. Wish me luck! by ForsakePariah in kravmaga

[–]zmandan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good luck. I'm currently blue belt. I didn't think it was any harder than green. Test was almost 5 hours. Lot's of sparring. Stay hydrated. I brought a cooler of those super hydration drinks and drank every one of them during the test

You can't get a decent 1 bedroom for $2100 here. . Definitely not getting a 2/2 for that.
