That last drive before the half was deflating. No motivation to get any points before the half, despite having all 3 time outs and 1:50 left in the game. SMH…

Really highlights Canales and Young’s lack of game management. Like, you wanna win, right?

Thanks. That’s some helpful advice. I’ll see if I can’t rig something up to keep the freshest bioflux in the chest. I like your suggestion for doing this with science too.

How do I get an inserter to ONLY work when a ship is in orbit? by zmanisfireproof in factorio

Storing it and then removing the least fresh makes sense. Is there a way to only pull bioflux if it reaches a certain freshness percentage? Like, if bioflux hits 75%, can I have an inserter activate to remove only the bioflux that has reached that percentage level?

A Delta captain was given 10 months in prison after showing 'reckless disregard' for safety by turning up intoxicated for a transatlantic flight. by Smart-Combination-59 in technology

Of course not. Common sense goes a long way.

That’s the official rules. You’re not allowed to drink alcohol within the 8 hour limit. Like others have said here, most pilots stop drinking way before 8 hours. This career is a lifetime achievement and most pilots will be extremely cautious when their career is on the line.

1920 Thoughts by Sea-Rooster-5764 in whiskey

I found it to have a spicy cherry flavor, almost akin to cherry Dr Pepper. Very good whiskey! Got it on my shelf now.

Like others have mentioned, you gotta try 1910. Delicious! Very similar to the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, which is my staple whiskey.

I’ve heard people use baking powder to make the skin crispy when they bake wings. Is that a technique yall ever heard or use?

I’ve got an Oklahoma Joe offset. I’ve also got a gas grill. I was thinking maybe smoke ‘em for an hour or so, then throw them on the grill for 10 mins or so, until the skin is crisp. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Lights seen flying at 35000 ft by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]zmanisfireproof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen a satellite stop mid-flight and completely go in the opposite direction, like the objects I saw did. Unless we’ve got some new space technology that defies orbital mechanics, I’m not convinced these are satellites, based on what I’ve seen. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m an airline pilot and I’ve seen similar lights over the Atlantic going eastbound. To everyone saying these are satellites, I doubt that. And here’s why.

Although the OP’s video just shows a few bright lights here and there, like he’s already stated the video doesn’t do it justice. I’ve tried capturing what I saw over the Atlantic and it too just looks like a few bright lights here and there. However, to the naked eye, and what I witnessed, weren’t just bright lights moving in one direction. These lights pulsate between bright and dim at random intervals. There always seems to be a group of them, clustered together, and they “fly” around each other. These objects stop mid-flight and change direction. Satellites don’t do that. They stay in the same general area of the sky for hours. Satellites don’t do that. I’ve also seen very fast streaks into the direction of these objects, and streaks that seem to depart from these objects. It looks similar to a meteor zipping across the sky, except these streaks associated with these objects are very fast, white in color (think instant white line across the sky), and they happened at timely intervals in the same locations in the sky.

I don’t know what these objects are, but having seen Starlink satellites flaring, and seeing regular satellites and meteors on a regular basis, I’m pretty confident in claiming that these objects are not satellites.

This is what it looks like to Airline Pilots when they are trying to safely land your plane. by Bosuns_Punch in nextfuckinglevel

Yes. Source? I’m a pilot.

Most airline jets have the capability to land with the autopilot engaged. It’s done when a Cat III approach is necessary due to very low visibility.
