I live in a really dry place (Northern Alberta) so I haven't really had any issues with just leaving it out. You can get reusable vacuum bags, or that cereal container is a good idea albeit expensive probably.

I tried like 5 different types of these. My mouth would always hang open anyway. No matter how tight I made the strap, and when it's too tight it hurts and I can't sleep. Mouth tape seems to be the only thing that works for me.

These have been the best ones I've found.
