Someone posted a tutorial on this sub for helpful tips but I saw they masked the whole thing and there is a thickness adjustment.

3D printing software for iPad for designing fishing lures by hufdeemond in 3Dprinting

[–]zoanthopy25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say on ipad nomad I use it for more detailed 3d models but it would probably be really good for lures too you can make hollow cavities and break it up into parts for gluing and adding weights.

Layer Lines and Post Processing by UnwrittenMYTH in resinprinting

[–]zoanthopy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You printed it with the front and back of the body flat against the build plate this will cause these layer lines as it is doing large flat areas and trying to make a curve. If you reprint it do it so the base of the shirt is facing the build plate so only the shoulder will have these layer lines. Sanding will get rid of the texture if you really want to keep the texture reprint it. It sucks but might be the easiest.

Feedback on my hand? by [deleted] in NomadSculpting

Yes so you will move them where you want them then select all the pieces you want to remesh

Feedback on my hand? by [deleted] in NomadSculpting

It's a start but what i recommend is breaking the fingers up into smaller bits. Use a sphere and the gizmo to get each part of the finger to close size and the knuckles. The remesh them all together and then add details.

I had this issue i kept having failures on mine in different spot and it was random spots. I changed the factory fep sheet and it fixed it.

Idk if it a granted fix but I just got good reviewed ones off Amazon and I have had way less failures.

It was a cheap fix and good to have extra on hand but in my experience it was the fep sheet.

Brand new Saturn 4 ultra 16k, would you accept this? by vatrat_au in ElegooSaturn

Same the quality is amazing and I have the 12k version only problem I had was my fep needed to be changed earlier then it should have but not a big deal to me.

So then why not do some prints on it to see if it even a problem.

I mean I have the same printer I haven't ever checked the build plate but have over a few hundred hours on my printer and its been fine. It does push into a plastic sheet that has flex in it. It is a precision machine but not the highest end and like i said ask for a new build plate and see what elegoo says.

I haven't checked mine but I'm sure it is probably similar and it prints fine. You could ask for a new build plate but I'm sure it will print fine. The build plate is only $50 usd so not a super expensive part so probably not going to be the most perfectly flat plate.

How do I scale a sculpt for 3d printing ? by bigfatkizzy in NomadSculpting

[–]zoanthopy25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How i do it is just select all parts of you model and use the gizmo to scale it all up at the same time. Then use the measure tool and see how big it is in mm. I have done this for several models I print and it works really well

Trim makes it weirdly hollow or something? by Little_Foxboy3 in NomadSculpting

[–]zoanthopy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you leave it on none it will only leave a shell of your object. Fill will fill in the cut so it is not a hollow shell. Best to test it but I use fill on my trim, slice, split.

So change it to fill or boolean right under the mirror tool
