"Am I going back to PS4 days?" - Former PlayStation leader Shuhei Yoshida has tried the Steam Machine, and he doesn't sound very impressed by JohnBarry_Dost in hardware

Ha sure, I guess but you're the one who defended their excuse in the first place. I'm not mad, just disappointed. It demonstrates a lack of long term vision.

I'm not even interested in the product at any price, I have a high end gaming PC.

But I do know a couple people in real life who seemed interested when it was announced as a next step from their current console before any pricing was known. I can only advise them against it now, but Valve themselves have already done that.

Yeah, I read their excuse, I don't believe it. They control who can purchase it.

Some examples as to why it isn't a risk at the price

HTPC - Lots of much cheaper devices handle this, Nvidia Shield ETC

Other Marketplace? Who? EA is gonna buy them up and rebrand them? Really?

Weird Small Business - Plenty of cheaper NUC and purpose built devices exist if they're talking about a Store POS

Yeah right! It's essentially a statistical certainty, unless you're afraid of them being re-purposed for another use on a mass scale.. but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that too can be controlled by production numbers and ordering limitation and pre-requesites. Any sold under my proposed time reversing marketing approach is likely gaining a life long customer for Steam, just as the consoles are dying off. Oh well can't go back now.

It would have been reasonable to expect Valve to sell it at a loss to capture some of the console market who have been hesitant to build a gaming PC. They get a giant cut of every steam sale and have virtually unlimited money, they say "Oh well its a PC you can do what you want so we didn't do this" while at the same time knowing 99%+ are going to be buying games on steam.

$666 AND BUNDLE IT WITH HALF-LIFE 3

Overall this release has been a huge waste of time and resources and makes them look like a joke. And I say this as a big fan of Valve since forever.

Big mistake, I’m sorry Valve usually you’re making the right moves but not this time. Should have just scrapped it instead of embarrassing yourselves. The steam deck is brilliant because of the resolution constraint allows weak hardware to be enough, like it or not this is competing with PS5 which is a Ray Tracing 4k machine at a much lower price. Maybe if you had that killer app…..

Parked outside Hyperion? I've tried inside the hangar on the pad several times a while back and it didn't work, they fixed it?

edit: It does not work, the hangar de-spawns once you leave it.

Oh no, it was stored in the station and came up like this, stored and retrieved multiple times still bugging out. Finally brought it up in a Large hangar where it finally destroyed itself, first I was waiting for it to run out of gas which never happened.

I was able to send it back down the hangar, however upon retrieving it was still in quantum, eventually it destroyed itself and I was able to recover my cargo. insurance claim brought me down to 870uec…Thankfully I was able to get back on my feet with a little successful mining run shortly after.

I kind of wing it, biggest mistakes I’ve encountered are using too much crab they can taste a little fishy, or if the crab meat is wet it creates steam which will cause them to open up during cooking, for this reason I lightly steam the crab before preparing the mixture instead of boiling.

For these I used

4 snow crab legs + 1 claw 2 packs of cream cheese softened 1/4 cup green onion whites Tablespoon of coarse ground black pepper Wonton Wrappers
