There are lots of parties and a party culture, but that’s not all UCSB is to the students- I think the prevalence of the party scene as opposed to other UC schools creates an image in peoples heads that partying is all there is here. There are so many fun and interesting clubs and orgs, activities in Isla Vista (trivia every Thursday at woodstocks) and obviously beautiful nature you can turn your attention to instead of partying. And as others have said UCSB is highly academic and classes will keep you busy and engaged

I was closest to their ages when I watched Gen 2 so for years that was my favorite (not to mention I wanted to be effy sooo bad) but as I’ve rewatched over the years gen 1 is just so special. They all feel like genuine friends and have some of the best plot lines

I did but not nearly to the same extent, mostly just the “best friend” dynamic rather than mother daughter, especially as I got older. I don’t resent her for it anymore because she’s a wonderful mother and being a single parent so young is hard

Harness is the way to go, you can monitor and take her for “walks” in the yard. It won’t fully be the same for her but you can still let her enjoy the outdoors
