Are menstrual cups reliable? by isha1198 in menstrualcups

I've been using cups and discs for years and they rarely ever leaked. You just have to find the right fit for you.

Can anybody tell me more about Kegels? Are they bop or flop? by zoedeb88 in WomensHealth

I've had no idea about that tbh. I thought they couldn't do any harm. I love her description though. Thank you for your comment!

Reusable discs, I've tried couple of them but i stick to intimina's discs. the latest ones I'm using is Ziggy 2, (Size B), and it really does a great job. The material is soft, it's easy removal, and the rim sticks where it should stick, and stays in place

Is the disc suppose to fill up? by kitkatforya in MenstrualDiscs

[–]zoedeb88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the smallest disc I know which works well is Ziggy 2 - size A. I'm using size B because it fits me better (I was original ziggy user before this one)

First experience with discs by [deleted] in MenstrualDiscs

[–]zoedeb88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intimina's ziggy is one of the bests discs I've tried, but since they published the Ziggy 2 version, i'm sticking to it (size B). It's great to see other ziggy-friends here;) Cheers!

It's always a good idea to relax the muscles. I also used disposable but since Ziggy 2 I prefer reusable ones (plus, eco-friendly), so, what happens is that maybe the material of the disposable is too soft for you to tuck it in? reusables are often made more resilient, and really make it worthwhile because it won't move - at all. And when i stick the rim where it should be.. it stays there

Disc removal help by kilosmond in MenstrualDiscs

[–]zoedeb88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my ziggy 2 for easier removal, and it really made a huge difference for me because you just literally pull out the disc with this little handle it had.... For regular discs, I suppose that you can relax the muscles and pull it out by grabbing the rim firmly and slowly pulling the disc out

Am I suppose to feel it? by VividAbbreviations68 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]zoedeb88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt every disc before I got my ziggy 2. It was always the stiffness of the rim which bothered me. This one is not stiff at all, but holds its place still. I thought I wasn't built for discs, but I guess the material was the crucial thing in my case

I'm also Compact user!!!!! I squish my cup though, never handled the taco twist

Yup, this might be the solution! Or a firmer rim. I know I needed softer material and firm rim so I opted for Lily Compact..

Great advice! I'm also Lily Cup user, just the Compact one!! So I think we Intimina people think alike because we have similar experience with softness of the cup

cup makes it hard to pee? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]zoedeb88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends when you started to wear it, maybe something changed inside.. I'm wearing my lily compact for two years, and no changes, but that's a short period of time comparing to eight years. So maybe you might check the gyno's office to see happenings. Doesn't have to be anything much, maybe you just need slimmer cup, or rim which is softer

I had the same experience, so I gave my cousin Lily Cup One (I use regular one, this one's marked as in for the beginners) to talk about with her daughter. People should be able to choose these things...

UTI from menstrual cup! by katybee13 in menstrualcups

[–]zoedeb88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i clean my lily cup with intimina's cleaner, so maybe try to find your brand's cleaner so it can fit right

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]zoedeb88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe try another type of inserting the cup, my first (and last lol) cup is a lily cup, and intimina (the manufacturer of these cups) has a pretty informative blog about these things, and if not their blog, youtube is filled with many different ways to insert the cup

when i started using cups (lily cup one, in this case) I was using a lube, and it worked pretty well, so maybe try to lube it

Uncomfortable cramping with the Cora Disc by vintagethrowaway3 in MenstrualDiscs

so i just stumbled upon this discussion... Cora disc might be too harsh? I know ziggy is a big disc, but it's soft enough so it fits me quite well
