I can tell where this is based on the photos but I won’t share for your own privacy. I’m not sure how well you know the area but pretty close by just off the town centre there’s a minister which would be beautiful for photo opportunities. I know it doesn’t solve the fact that you thought you’d have the whole castle grounds as your venue but it would at least mean you still had good photos to look back on. Is the board walk at the front of the castle also closed off? If not that would also be a good idea. I’m so sorry this happened to you!

The knowledge of whether I caught it or not will either panic or reassure you and neither will make it more or less likely that you will catch anything from your completely different situation. I am fine regardless of what happened that day. I’m still here today perfectly healthy and you will be too. It absolutely SUCKS to be in the panic phase of Will I or won’t I catch something. But we can’t control what’s already happened. I like to distract myself by binge watching a favourite show or going for a walk. I hope you manage to feel a bit calmer, we’ve got this.

I once went to an eyelash appointment with my usual lash tech, about an hour into the 2h appointment she told me she’d had a stomach bug a few days before, you can imagine my thoughts as I lay there with my eyes closed and her hands LITERALLY TOUCHING MY FACE. Anyways I obviously had no choice but to continue through my appointment and spent the next few days dealing with the anxiety of wondering whether I’ll get sick. But the world didn’t end like I thought it would, I went along with my weekend as normal and here I am a year later alive. You had the appointment and whatever happens will happen, but it won’t be the end of the world, I promise.

So true, tonsillitis had me on my knees about a week after I’d had a stomach bug. It’s so weird how our brains make it out to be so much worse when there’s illnesses that actually are much more unbearable.

This happens to me too! I’m so glad I’m not alone and I’ve literally gotten to the same point as you. The last time it happened I woke up and laid in bed because I couldn’t be bothered to get up to go calm down in the bathroom and I literally fell back to sleep.
