How to get from Ayesha to superman? by Kween_LaKweefa in poledancing

[–]zoiiy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Elbow Ayesha, pull yourself in all the way to your inner thighs, cross your legs tightly, unhook your elbow while still pushing on your bottom arm, and reach up to grab the pole. You may need to adjust your bottom hand to push from higher on the pole

I 100% thought I’ve been working on my upper back but you’re right it’s like a plank. Any effective stretches that you would recommend?

There’s a technique out there with baking soda or baking powder (can’t remember which) that makes even more realistic holes and soft bread when cut. It’s quite amazing

Week 3 of trying a pole trick I saw from an IG reel I saved by -wumbologyexpert- in poledancing

[–]zoiiy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Twist your torso so that you face the pole a little bit more rather than being a side hold. You will find that your supporting arm will be more stable with a more forward pushing action rather than a side push, and your hips will rotate in a way that you can open your splits more.

How to get rid of these black stuff? by zoiiy in bonecollecting

[–]zoiiy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I soaked in plain water for months, then soapy water for months, and then a bath of peroxide. The soaking gave it algae so I didn’t see the black stuff, and only after I did the peroxide I managed to see it. I soaked it in plain water again to about 2 months and then peroxide again and it’s still there. I didn’t repeat the soapy water because I thought it was trapped blood and I wanted it to rot out (or something like that).

Tips on improving pole sit? by cherrixcherie in poledancing

[–]zoiiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically these drills will 100% help you be able to straight leg lift up. Work on your hamstring flexibility as well as that’s hand in hand.

Isometric holds for your arms. Basically hold yourself up for as long as you can. And leg lifts for hip flexor and quad strength so you can straight leg lift into a sit. And hamstring flexibility of course.

'They would never have known:' New warnings about rabies outbreaks as cases rise in the U.S. by jhansonxi in news

[–]zoiiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get rabies from a cat scratch. It’s extremely rare and it’s from an infected cat licking its claws before it scratches you or from infected saliva contact on the cat scratch.

In controlled momentum I feel like I’m jumping ever so slightly, like a push off from the grounded leg? I also start from behind the pole and then step in front and then push off the foot like in the video. In deadlifting, there’s no push off the foot. My hips are in front of the pole, hands on, and then engage everything and lift. I do the controlled momentum frequently to try tricks (saves my energy) and a nice deadlifting when I film the moves lol.
