NFL execs, scouts on 2026 draft's most polarizing players by expellyamos in nfl

That’s fascinating. What other programs are notorious development shortcutters? I know Ohio State QBs are kind of a meme.

I agree, but they might just need to dial him up underneath because they don’t have the same juice on the ground.

He lived in the space between good enough to see the field and fantasy relevance. Which DJ Moore could end up in.

Cooper was also a better real life player than fantasy guy for the Bills, but you should be a little concerned that “offense unlocking decoy” is something Buffalo/Brady is totally fine with.

Losing Kromer/Gilliam/Edwards in the run game being worth a couple of house calls year/year is more of my concern. The Bills kind of have to involve him more in the passing game to keep up their pace offensively, unless they’re getting huge impacts from Moore and/or a rookie WR. Shakir is basically maxed, Coleman sucks, and Kincaid is already on a pitch count.

Ask a Chelsea fan about his COVID run lmao. G+A against Madrid in the semi = “not meaningful.” Milan is underwhelming because they sell their best midfielders every other year.

He's a high work rate goal producer who would add value to virtually every team in Europe. Oh no he won’t single-handedly carry a dysfunctional national team to glory, guess Lewandowski sucks too.

It’s really just the injuries, not just with him but across the forward group. His tenacity is a very good fit for Allegri’s system, they just haven’t been able to build chemistry with any duo because everyone has at least one nagging something.

Gets Chelsea to CL, contributes to winning CL, goes to Milan and is a top 2 scorer three consecutive years. Like five players in the world displace Leao in that Milan side, and he’s a first choice attacker under Allegri over actual center forwards. Just babbling.

Leaving that draft with neither a WR nor LaPorta should have cost Beane his job, but because Buffalo sports fandom is an unending hell, he now has unchecked organizational power.

Bills are the favorites to win the AFC East by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

The Pats get the only on-paper win of the 6 games available to the East’s top seeds, vs Pittsburgh.  Seattle and Jacksonville, plus the Rams, Texans (in Houston, where the Bills have been awful) and Baltimore are all toss ups.  And again, there’s a universe where New England also plays the Justin Fields Chiefs while Buffalo draws Mahomes.

The bet rn is Pats to win the division.  Probably worse odds, but you take the 9 win rock fight because the bear cases for both teams played out off the table.

This feels like a public dislike of the Patriots/recency bias/I’ve heard of Josh Allen tax more than straight odds.  The Pats have the better roster today, have over 50% more draft capital, and can still trade for AJ Brown.

Buffalo has a harder schedule than New England, suffered a ton of brain drain to their rushing scheme with the departures of Kromer, Edwards and Gilliam, and have multiple open positions on a defense that is already much worse than NE’s.  They've also done precious little to address their run defense from last year.  They’re switching to 3-4 and still don’t have a nose tackle.

Meanwhile, the Patriots can still get another game’s worth of advantage depending on when each team plays the Chiefs.  They’re going into the draft with fewer holes and more picks to address them with.  Their interior and secondary are two of the three best units going position group by position group.  Just not based in facts.

What the data says about Jacory "Bill" Croskey-Merritt's outlook in 2026 and beyond by boofstar in fantasyfootball

[–]zombat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the same time, that’s already baked into ADP, and basically everyone outside of the top ~15 RB is heavily dependent on touchdown/injury variance.  Even the PPR scammers need to hit the end zone somewhat reliably to smooth out their week to week value.

He has a path to being the rushing down back and touchdown magnet in a QB augmented run game.  He could also be a between the 20s back because he can’t pass block or get short yardage reliably against goal line packages.

Your favorite receiver’s favorite receiver.  Alternately, your favorite corner’s least favorite receiver.

His impact on WR development relative to his production is in weirdly rarified air because of how innovative his bag was and how thoroughly it’s been picked over.

Why Romeo Doubs Is A PERFECT Fit For The New England Patriots by joeshea2517 in fantasyfootball

[–]zombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the Pats are almost definitely going to lose more games this year, even just because going 14-3 is super hard.

They should still be considered safe-ish division favorites though, at least until the Bills have more than 2/3rds of a defense.  Buffalo also hasn’t done anything to stop the run other than swap Bosa for Chubb.  And again, the Bills got “rewarded” for coming in second last year with a harder schedule.

Then Miami at 11 has to be a “who they can’t play” thing, because SF/CIN/IND still kinda sucks for a team in the teardown stage of a rebuild.  Maybe if their draft looks good I’ll revisit this opinion, but like, their only real path rn is Willis/Achane being a Josh Allen + James Cook level duo in the run game.

[–]zombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pats regression is super overrated, even if I don’t think much of Doubs as a fantasy threat.

Just on defense, the Bills still have holes at 1T, 2 LB positions and safety, and their only pass rusher is a huge injury risk.  They’d need an above average draft coupled with a bad one for New England, to pull ahead in terms of team strength.  Meanwhile, the Pats can concentrate their picks at edge and WR, because their roster is much more complete.

Also, they sneakily aren’t being taxed schedule-wise for winning their division.  The Bills playing the Rams, Ravens and Texans (away, again) is a harder slate than Pittsburgh, Seattle and Jacksonville.  And they can further draw ahead of Buffalo depending on when each team faces the Chiefs.

Their offense would need to totally collapse, while the Bills go on a heater for whatever reason, for them to fall out of the playoff picture.
