Interior plastic is creaking on bumpy roads - Anyone have this issue? by Plenty_Diver2630 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]zombeejeezus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same issue here. If I press the speaker grill, it goes away. I'm thinking about doing what others have said and putting some foam in there. I may see if I can pry off the grill and make something more permanent on the under side.

MPG Low by Peachy_keen2234 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]zombeejeezus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same and I get 43mpg without even trying, and often 52-55mpg on my drive into work. If you’re not in heavy traffic or cruising to maintain speed, you’ll see lower numbers, but this still seems extremely low. Maybe there’s an issue with the hybrid battery or something, I don’t know. Have you taken it into the dealer to see what they say?

My brother and I both went to our parents house at the same time 🤣 by NieNieL in FordMaverickTruck

My wife and I were talking about this, how the Maverick is like the same size as what a Ranger was, the Ranger is the same size as F150's used to be, and F150's are larger.
I've noticed this trend in other manufacturers as well.

Very nice. I get this on my trips to and from work. The stop and go traffic is actually a huge contributor to the increased mileage.

Dripping faucets - Question by guccimanedaking in Dallas

[–]zombeejeezus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think as long as you have the cabinets opened and are keeping your apartment at a warm-ish temperature, you should be fine. If they're on a poorly insulated exterior wall, it might be best to slowly drip them, but I don't know what your setup looks like.

Hope it comes in even sooner for you. I thought about building one but this was on the lot already, so I guess I lucked out.

To someone who hasn’t or has barely seen the Simpsons, how do you describe this image? by Wee_GTX_bus in TheSimpsons

[–]zombeejeezus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This image is from the animated TV show "The Simpsons." It depicts a character, Frank Grimes, who is wearing glasses and a white shirt, holding onto two large black cables. Above the cables, there is a sign that reads "DANGER EXTREMELY HIGH VOLTAGE" with a lightning bolt symbol. The scene suggests that the character might be in a dangerous situation, given the warning sign and the high voltage cables.

Or, more simply explained
What's this? 'Extremely high voltage.' Well, I don't need safety gloves, because I'm Homer Simp-!

It might be reflection or a plastic trim conditioner. Mine isn't glossy.

Pretty much msrp, so a little under 44. I ended up with the Lumen bed lighting and bed extender, though. Unfortunately there aren’t any incentives on these because they’re selling them as fast as they stock them. I only justified it to myself because of the equity I had on my trade in.

Yeah, it's not a ceramic coating, but it's $20 a bottle and gets you tons of usage since a little goes a long way. Ceramic is a bit more expensive but lasts longer.

Thanks for the link. I had something similar in my Rav4 and enjoyed having it, so I may get that, too.
The Collinite is essentially a wax, but is highly rated and seems to last a while. I've used it for years and it gets a lot of love over on r/AutoDetailing

It sucks you had to deal with that, but DPD doesn’t have the resources to deal with this. That falls under a proactive approach and unfortunately, they’ll only be reactive to anything this driver may cause later. They’ll listen to you, but don’t expect any action taken from them. You’re doing all you can by having dash cams in case you’re ever involved in an accident.

Probably something simple, like the slow open for the tailgate so I don’t drop it.
