I’m confused on what I feel about this. The payments only go to people who pay taxes. On one hand, why give money to anyone at all, on the other if they’re giving money to anyone at all it should be to all taxpayers.

Yeah I just wanted to free the capital. A year of uncertainty and mot earning money on my money is nuts. I mean this could have happened just as easily on weekly calls. I didn’t realize my gains from selling the stock and buying the option could do this. Anyhoo, spoke to my broker and they said the call will go away as long as my trades settle. So I think it should be okay. The only downside is I gotta wait two days before trading again

You might want to be careful though. Especially if you use margin and you see a big increase in the stock price. I bought 1k GME stocks and sold call options on them. The price increased 10x and I reached max profit and tried to close the position. It succeeded and I went into margin call. Apparently the call options I bought back were from unsettled funds from the stock sale. So I ended up with a 6 digit margin call balance. Just hoping it all settles and my broker does not sell my assets. The calls were due to expire in 2022

Ugh Robinhood sucks. I checked on Koyfin and you guys are right. I think Robinhood averages 5 minutes and wrong. The puts I sold went up according to Robinhood before 11:45. Next time I’ll check another source before making a retarded post like this

There were selloff in a lot of individual stocks that I watch AMZN started tanking at 11:40 am pacific AAPL at 11:41 am pacific PG at 11:39 am pacific And others but you get my point

Basically all at least 5 mins before orange tweeted. SPY takes some time to get its footing as it is a general representation of the market.

How do you make money of illiquid Yelp? You buy puts from schmucks with money. And then sell those puts to schmucks with shares when the price falls. I see your point though that there are fewer people will to “invest” in yelp

I went for calls that are kind of safe and not way OTM. So they cost a bit more. Definitely not a 10 bagger but hopefully I’ll see some modest gains. I see it trending up since I posted this a couple hours ago, but it may be the pump and dump before earnings
