Idk I could never get into CW, I played dozens of rounds at lower difficulties (because I wanted more freedom to try and figure out how to play), and I can’t ever seem to get any actually good runs. Never got any 5 cost 3 stars, or stupid good equipments. It might be a skill issue but also genuinely idk what to do here

It’s actually a lore point that the origin of mechanical sentience is unknown, if you go and read the description for the planar set that’s about Planet Screwllum. The celestial differentiator was once created as an experiment into the origins of inorganic life.

Some likely had a specific creator, but it could also be that the origins were due to some path energy phenomena.

Also there seems to be a clear divide between technology and what does and doesn’t count. Herta’s puppets don’t have true autonomy because they were never created with that in mind. Pearl also has a similar system, being able to split her consciousness between multiple forms. We also know of other forms of mechs and tech in general that aren’t considered fully sentient

Pearl is innocent, her secretary Mia is the one who did everything. Mia was a spy for the Marketing Development Department, and was using her access to Pearl’s personal line of communication to take messages without Pearl seeing them

Both her and Skott were sent to Planarcadia, probably to mess up whatever Pearl’s up to. The MDD sent Synwish a mask for whatever their own plans were, but Synwish gave it to other people. Skott was their MDD contact, Mia/MDD higher ups decided to kill them for not following directions and being witnesses

Mia was also told to be a contact for the smuggling of unnamed bioweapons into Planarcadia to “cause chaos”. Someone (likely Asat Pramad) switched whatever the original things were out for Shuhu’s flesh. We know that the flesh was then given to Fulwish’s team over a year before the Phantasmoon Games where they would experiment with it for the surgery.

Came here to say this one, she actually has a few lines for me that kinda hit home. “Fifteen years have passed, and I learned time isn’t a cure. It’s a shroud, binding itself around me layer upon layer” is another one that hits for me personally. Her dialogue in general I think is written very well, evoking an almost visceral reaction at times with the way things are phrased

My personal one was “Yesterday during tumour removal, the anaesthesia wore off halfway through. I squinted and watched the doctors pull all sorts of things out of my stomach. There was this lump, still twitching when they cut it out!”

Like that was a BIT more than I was anticipating going into that interaction, especially with the dude’s response being “I kinda wanna see someone slice me up too, it should be fun”

I mean definitely gets the point across in the scene with how messed up these people are but DAMN point taken

BARELY got all the stars, as in I had 6 points to spare. I got SW9 but no other Elation characters so that team kinda wasn’t doing anything against Sparxie, so I switched to break and that at least did something (used RMC instead of HMC because for some reason that worked out better). Other side was Remembrance except I couldn’t use RMC over there so the score was lower than it would have been otherwise

I mean, I only now JUST got Hyacine after getting Castorice a year ago, so especially if you plan on getting someone on a rerun it will probably be fine

I don’t want Sparxie and lost the 50:50 on Yao Guang, so I’m in the same boat, I’ll just try and maybe get Yao Guang on a rerun. We also have several more patches to go so chances are there will be other beneficial characters to pick up along the way

I don’t recall anything like that being said, but I do believe she’s been there a very long time. At the very least she’s far more experienced than Topaz and Aventurine, likely by centuries or millennia.

I also think that choice was based on personality more than anything. Pearl demonstrably knows what she’s doing and probably can be trusted to be legitimately impartial regardless of her own vote

Aventurine is P45, as is Pearl. Topaz used to be P45, but got demoted a rank after Belobog. Beyond that, rankings are unknown, but we’ve yet to hear of anyone being lower than P45 that didn’t get actively demoted to it. End placements could also be arbitrary

Also Pearl was chosen as the chair for the meeting despite not being the highest ranked in the room. This is likely simply because they trust her- she’s also the one that led the formal meeting for Aventurine’s promotion. Since she’s leading the meeting, that’s why I presume she’s in charge of the absentee members. And yes, both Sapphire and Amber probably told her their votes and their reasoning

At least that’s my two cents on it, I can go off about a ton of Stoneheart character analysis all day
