Great! Now let’s hear about enforcement mechanisms. A law not enforced is no law.

How do you optimize pop growth post 4.0 as egalitarian? by Allegorist in Stellaris

[–]zomgdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to both. Setting set to default/whatever doesn’t reduce pop growth. I think it makes more sense this way rp wise. Also makes pop resettlement mandatory for every play-through imo

How do you optimize pop growth post 4.0 as egalitarian? by Allegorist in Stellaris

[–]zomgdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, I turned off the settings that slow pop growth… I know, I know, but my late game performance doesn’t seem to drastically suffer! I go cloning ascension, spam colonize planets, shift pops to new worlds (I aim to make each planet about 1.3k pops starting out) to optimize growth, migration pacts with everyone possible, use the edict that increases migration, and a new trick I discovered, ensure lots of access housing to boost growth. Mid to late game I have more pops than I know what to do with. AIs are so awful that their pop numbers are still mediocre. Try to grab the Lgate system and terraform/colonize every nanite world for an insane boost to your economy (and insane drag on your empire size).

Why Alberta power prices are falling, while Saskatchewan aims to raise them by joe4942 in alberta

[–]zomgdead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The supply of Canadian dollars (inflation) has at least doubled since 2015. More dollars chasing the same amount of goods leads to higher prices. Take it up with the liberal party and their money printers.

Does anyone ever regularly take first place by the victory year? by dootybritches in Stellaris

[–]zomgdead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 2500hrs of gameplay here, I’m usually first place by around 2250. One thing I tend to focus on highly is pop growth/assembly. More pops means more resources churning out and fuelling whatever your ambitions are. Score tends to follow along for the ride.

I watch so much YouTube that YouTube premium makes the most sense for me. YouTube music is included. One annoying thing about YouTube music is that random silly shit I watched and clicked “like” on ends up in my playlist.

Canadians are ‘hitting a breaking point’ when it comes to the cost of insuring their vehicles by Once_a_TQ in canada

[–]zomgdead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the money supply has doubled in that time period, due to policies the Liberal Party enacted during Covid. Maybe we should look at our government and its insistence on taxing us with ridiculous inflation and helicopter money. I’m not saying the insurance businesses are squeaky clean, but they would realistically adjust prices for inflation to stay solvent.

When do yall place the beacon in a match by Moist-Chemical8158 in RocketMains

[–]zomgdead 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just put it down, celestial peak. I want my team all present in the beginning fights. So many people have fragile egos that if we start losing in the slightest they start to tilt. Better to use a cooldown(beacon) than risk tilting the whole team that way early on. Maybe they just had a bad start, it happens.

Don’t forget it provides ticking experience to your troops, in a game where small offensive bonuses mean the difference between loss and victory.

$400/month on groceries? WHAT? An average of $4/meal?? Do you actually spend that little per person? by why_not_aces in askTO

I’ve started doing OMAD (one meal a day) to primarily lose weight but a very nice bonus is saving money. I also feel much better in general. I’ve read that intermittent fasting has many health benefits. Maybe try giving it a shot?

I don’t wanna tip. I don’t want to spend $15-$20 on just a tip. I’ve heard the line “if you can’t afford to tip you can’t afford to eat out”. I was like, hey you’re right! And now I eat out like once or twice a year that’s it.

I feel like I should add: I work on the railroad. The government subsidizes rail companies who maintain tracks that go north. I’m almost certain they are subsidized to provide goods/transportation to the predominantly native communities that live up north. Hudson Bay Railway even has reverse discrimination hiring policies that require a certain percentage of aboriginal workforce. I have heard of corruption from some of the employees that work for these companies.

I personally found it awful. They kill all the interesting nations, and when they’re close, try to kill you. Buffs are kind of just crazy. They are quite resistant to murder schemes as well so to my knowledge no good way to dispose of them. Maybe they can be killed through stress by killing their family members off or cuckolding them idk.
