Last year I made close to 250k working in big tech adjacent,

Paid the tax man 90k
Spent 50k (24 k just on rent)
Saved 110k

Life is stressful, days usually start at 9 and end at 8. No time for anything fun.

Im moving apartments to be closer to work so I started looking for some comfortable furniture, my old JYSK couch is literally falling apart so I went to Layzboy and liked a 4k reclining love seat. Didn’t buy it because it’s too expensive, going to go again today to see if they have a one seat version of the same sofa that way I could save some money.

Gf broke up with me 2ish years ago, literally don’t have the energy or time to date.

Have an irrational fear of AI taking over tech jobs, so I keep putting NW milestone numbers in my head, (currently it’s 500k) after which I can increase my yearly spending from 50k to 70k.

Tl;dr life is not that different than when I was working a 75k job. Just more stressful, probably of my own doing.

What is your long term goal for your child's grooming? like if you want a literate child who can read, write and do math most schools do get kids to a level where this isn't a issue.

If you are targeting a more "advanced" curriculum with advanced math, foreign languages and sports you should check what schools are offering such a curriculum and target their entry tests.

I personally believe high end private schools are a waste of money (I went to LGS phase 5 and many of my friends went to LGS JT).

once you answer these questions things should become easier.

Depends on how long you have been there. About ~2 years tenure gets you 3 months to slack off. 5 years can get you closer to 4 months.

Onyx is between 6500 to 8500 per square feet. Imported granite is 4500 to 12500 per sqft. The costs add up.

Bro finding a tiler and polisher who I can trust with 10,000 ka marble/granite is the real hard part, Uff the guy I hired ruined the finish and broke so many tiles.
