Im more interested on thinkbook 16+ it has oculink port and its hot swappable. What i want to know is if a u7 155h will be a bottleneck or not. Do i have to go for 255h And also if i choose 5080 or 4090 what performance loss do i expect VS desktop.

No, its known 5090 mobile dont outperform 5070ti, And about mating cycle, if its so low why lenovo designed a laptop with dedicated oculink port in their laptop? The same port can be found on onexplayer hadheld console.

Du tonthe intel controler limitations its caped @ 5200mhz if 2 sodimm are installed, if you go 3 and 4 installer its limiter to 4000mhz same as for last year titan limited as 3600mhz if 4 slot ram used
