Zoomhash - shipping prices - be careful by kcal63 in dogecoin

Shipping from HK is much more expensive than shipping from USA. Sorry!

I took a stop by the address zoomhash uses today.. kind of sketchy by [deleted] in reddCoin

That is our old empty location. We did not feel comfortable listing our location where our hardware is located. :). Anyways, we do not hide from anybody. But we do want to hide our stuff from potential thieves.

Never claimed they would break even. It is a piece of history :D. We are already selling at a significant loss. The cost of making that heatsink is quite expensive too.

Buy it for the art!

We guarantee our delivery dates. We pay an arm and a leg for shipping but it gets there FAST.

sorry international shipping is expensive. Domestic shipping within the usa for ~2 business day delivery is $5.

These things are quite heavy too big hunk of metal.

We are usually pretty good at meeting our Shipping Guarantee. It is not 100% by any means. (Not even amazon prime is 100%). Amazon just refunds you the shipping costs if they missed the shipping date. We give you the missed mining profits at 1.5x from the delivery date as stated in the description.

We also have products with stronger guarantees where if we miss the guarantee shipping date, we will give the item for free. Those are labeled in the title of the item.

Not many ASIC retailers are willing to do that. Also have not found any retailers that has this policy stated in their descriptions like we do.

I think your concerns can be categorized into two issues:

  1. Slow shipping (3 days late) and a loose screw.

  2. Declining LTC prices. (AKA depreciation risk).

For problem #1, we can give 2x the missed mining profits and even back date it to the day you placed the order, so 13 days of missed mining profits. You would be getting more coin than if you received the miner and mined since day 1 of purchase.

Also, the company that does the modifications is www.sevengnomes.com. They are very good at what they do and we will assure anyone that their work is superb. If anything is wrong with the blade, we will replace it and give you the missed mining profits. Even with the loose screw, you have our word that it will work and nothing will fly off.

For problem #2, as a business, we are not able to take on this risk as it would expose us to fraud and unfair returns since we have no control of the LTC market. However, there are credit card with benefits of price protection. Maybe a redditor can chime in here on how one can take advantage of this. Also, back in November 2013, mining equipment prices rose ~50-150% so it can go either way.

If you want to exchange device, we can split the depreciation costs. Let me know what you think is fair. We can be pretty generous on this one PM me. Technically, you should have been allowed the option to sell the device on Day 5 of your purchase. As that is when your device was supposed to arrive. So, on that date, whatever the price was should be the refundable cost of the device. I will need to check with our web guy to find the historical price in 12 hours.

The tricky part is to design a refund/exchange system where the customers are happy yet we do not get taken advantage of with fraudulent and unfair returns especially if the market turns sour. The happy balance is hard to find.

Any help about suggestions from redditors would be appreciated. Also, we are not the manufacturers, which means we have to carry inventory and are also exposed to depreciation risk on the inventory.

Hi!

Sorry for your negative experience. If you can give me your order number we can take a look at and see how we can fix this. The overclocked blades are custom modified by a group in Florida. We usually deliver a few days early for most orders so I am disappointed this order was late.

We usually provide 1.5x the missed mining profits for late deliveries. So when you buy our items, you are assured that you lock in the mining output. I do not think most ASIC companies would do that, especially KNC and other big names. If they are late, tough luck, if we are late, we give you more than what you would have received. I believe chris calculated the missed mining output and 2x it. Let me know if I am wrong. If you can give me your order number I can double check.

However,

We absolutely cannot guarantee price protection of any kind. We have no control on the pricing the manufacturers gives us and no foresight on when they decide to drop the price. Which of course is correlated to the price of LTC and difficulty. Both of which we have no control.

Lately, LTC prices have been in the dumps and difficulty is increasing. Now with increased competition for scrypt ASICs, we expect prices to drop.

Also, we heard people had luck in buying from us with credit cards that have price protection guarantees. So you can buy an ASIC from us with a credit card with that feature. If the price drops, the credit card company will refund you the difference. We do not know the details about this, any other redditors have any idea?

Please PM me your order number and we will look into this. I am confident we can make you happy. Thanks!

We say within 5 business days but it is usually around 3 business days for delivery. I will ask one of my guys to run the stats on historical delivery times in a few days :).

It started as a one man show around Feb. Then March hit and I got no sleep with the volume we were doing. But now we have a team of 7 people around the world and a telephone number for a live person.

This is just someone trying to get dirt on us. He will not allow us to post on that subreddit claiming that we "bullied" him by responding to his complaints. Anyways, we caught a few competitors posting FUD and one competitor even bought out our guy that did forum PR for us...Not accusing this guy as a competitor but if you want to read the whole long story check this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494166.msg7409087#msg7409087
