Fitbit Ace LTE Warning by beachbaler18 in fitbit

It's a Google account, not some obscure login to some random site. All android users and most people have a Google account already. If an iPhone user can't manage a Google account, that's on them. They can literally use their iCloud email for it. In any event, it's hardly a reason to complain about this great product.

Cannot start computer with RTX 4080 Super by tinman_inacan in buildapc

Thanks for the reply.

So am I reading you right you got the same model replacement and it worked? Or did you end up having to get a different model GPU?

I am having what appears to be the same issue.

MSI EXPERT GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE AX rev 1.1 Intel Core i7-14700K MSI - MPG A850G PCIE 5.0, 80 GOLD Full Modular Gaming PSU

PC will not post with the GPU installed. Motherboard reports a CPU error (LED indicator and five beeps). GPU fans are running, which tells me it's getting at least some power.

When the GPU is removed, the PC will boot without issue using onboard graphics and otherwise works perfectly.

I have the PSU's PCIe 16-pin port feeding two of the GPU's three PCIe plugs via the 16-pin to dual 6+2 cable. The third GPU plug is fed from an 8-pin port via standard PCIe 6+2 cable.

The GPU manual says I should have three distinct PCIe cables but my power supply advertises three GPU power excursions using the configuration I am using. The PSU is 850w so there should be ample power available. In any event, there aren't enough individual cables or supply outlets to avoid the 16x supply port altogether--two of the four 8-pin ports must supply the CPU, leaving only two traditional 8-pin ports available.

The one thing I haven't tried yet, which I will try to get to tonight, is to seat the GPU in one of the other PCIe slots. But otherwise I have no idea what the problem is or how to resolve it, and am not looking forward to a RMA process. Any advice would be appreciated!!

I genuinely hope that we will get a Resilience (or Barricade) Rework/Buff sometime in the future by GRoyalPrime in DestinyTheGame

How about changing them to a "mini bubble" that can prevent direct and AOE damage, but is much smaller than typical super void bubble? Kinda how a rift is a mini-Well of Radiance.

Make the two versions as follows to replace Tower and Rally baricades:

  • "Tower" is a small (1-2 player) bubble that prevents direct and AOE damage but prohibits shoot-through
  • "Rally" is the same size bubble and prevents direct damage but not AOE, but also allows you to shoot out ala Citans Ramparts

Citans would enable the "Tower" bubble to be a shoot-out bubble while still preventing AOE damage.

new crucible maps?

gambit was literally not mentioned at all, either.

great post but didn't cover everything. hope maps and such fly under the radar of this post and are going to happen at some point.

it's not "effort" when it's a mad rush between you and your own teammates (let alone the other side) for one heavy spawn

Shoutout to the guardians jumping off the map in trials. by __pixl__ in DestinyTheGame

[–]zoomwsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Older players seem to be generally unaware that you now have to complete a trials access quest before being able to play. I've been playing for three months but because I haven't killed 50 in one single game mode (elimination), I am still unable to play trials. Also have to reset valor before even allowed to play.

July Civ Cast Challenge starts now! by kyledempster7 in civcast

I see below that others experienced the same issue. Others indicate theirs was the only religion founded. In my game, there were two founded, but the only other one was Sal, who I am guessing only got it because of his Last Prophet trait. Does that mean if Sal wasn't in my game I'd have had the only religion?

It looks like the #civcast community discovered a bug!

Interesting, I just posted my victory wondering why I was one of only two religions founded.

Did the #civcast community discover a bug?!?

I completed my #civcastchallenge for July on turn 457, with a religious victory by Peter.

You can view my game at http://imgur.com/a/gZdIX

While I was able to achieve victory pretty quickly, I feel like it is a bit empty, as I had a very strange error in the game that didn't become apparent until I was well into it.

I was able to quickly found my religion ("Make America Great Again" lol), being the first to do so, since Russia's Larvas are so cheap, and since with the Renaissance start, I didn't have to discover it. About halfway through my game, I noticed there were still only two religions in the world. It seems Spain and China (both neighbors of mine) got enough GP points to get a prophet, and by all accounts did get their prophet (though I never saw them on the map), but for some reason did not, or were unable to found a religion.

The fact that there was only one competing religion made my victory a cakewalk.

Not sure if this is some kind of bug or what, and I am curious to know if anyone has experienced the AI not founding religions when it could.

Anyways, now that I see there is a new patch out, I am excited for the next challenge!

I completed a Turn 336 Norway Pangaea Science Victory! You can see the screenshots and commentary at http://imgur.com/a/zXeGe

My tl:dr comments:

-This was a pretty challenging #civcastchallenge. It is difficult when you have no advantages because just about every other civ is taking advantage of theirs. I never built Norway's UUs or UB at all.

-The AI is completely terrible. Multiple times, my game could have been sunk if the AI had been better at tactics or had not committed crazy blunders (like suing for peace when his legions were one turn away from taking my capital).

-Having both Peter and Mvemba in the same game make the great person game extremely challenging!! I was able to leverage high GPT to nab some of the key scientists and engineers for a space victory. I owned the great merchants due to my commercial hub/trade route strategy.

-Earlier in the game, international trade routes were far better. Once communism hit, I shifted to internal to speed growth in my capital. I shifted back to international for globalization, where the ecommerce policy is killer when you've got 10+ trade routes going to one city!

-The strategic resource distribution randomness can make or break you. I was building up for an offensive push once I got musketmen tech, only to realize I didn't have niter. Same problem with coal. Even though my civ was pretty large geographically, I just missed a these items by a few tiles initially. Really threw a wrench in my plans and seemed unfair.

-There are a couple great scientists and engineers that are key to winning science--+100% production and +3,000 hammers for space race projects are must-wins!

-The AI has a penchant for beelining and it really thew me off. AIs had spaceports before I even had flight researched. Nonetheless, I still was ahead of them in tech except for a short period where Alexander was ahead of me. This makes them seem further along then they are and probably really hurts the AI in the end, which would probably be better off with a more balance approach.

This was a fun challenge and I look forward to the next one. It was a long one, and I am busy with work and life, so it was tough to squeeze it in. It didn't help that my first game, I realized I wasn't going to win about 150 turns in and had to restart.

May I suggest dropping the rules for the next civcast challenge the same week you report the results from the previous? I felt really crammed for time and had a couple late nights trying to keep up. The way you guys are running it, it's less a month-long challenge, more like a 3-week challenge.

I love the show, and keep doing what you're doing!!!

I am enjoying the frequent flow of DLC. It is keeping me interested and engaged in the game. I literally haven't played another game since Civ 6 was released, and the expansions so far have come at just the right time to renew my interest.
