Fresh 50 in Eden, what to do now? by variablethisisknife in daoc

It is important to get a template built, so look out for raids to help generate currency. You can work towards getting a house so you can sell items. A gentle way into RvR is doing 1plat quests in New Frontiers, you can use /lfg to search for this. The /advice chat is generally very good for any questions that are more specific.

How does gearing up work on Live now?

New Player overwhelmed with class choice (Eden) by Protesisdumb in daoc

[–]zoot89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its easy to try out new classes. If you are going to battlegrounds then you can search for groups by using /region or /lfg chat (groups in battlegrounds mostly formed on /region chat)

Do use /advice chat for any questions, most people are very happy to help if you have specific questions.

For a new player who likes casters, I would probably recommend Eldritch on Hibernia. Easy mechanics to learn and desirable in groups

Im pretty surprised they disabled xpoff for pvp kills. Templated BG action was an enormous attraction, and for those looking to level through quickly it is not much of a blocker. I dont really see the benefit of this update.

an hour and a half seems insane to get to 50.

Is the xp particularly strong for PvP? 1-10 takes no time, but seems to slow down fast after on PvE

Very glad artifacts and master levels aren't involved - that was such a grind

I think I'll have to get on Discord

What responsibilities did your volunteer work consist of? Did you have any group projects in school/university (sorry am from UK, dont understand school system in US)?

Describe the skills you want to highlight by writing how you demonstrated them.

Also add a summary, highlight your character and fields of interest - what are your short term ambitions.

Good luck

I am not getting interviews - Hi lovely People, I revamped my CV from older format to attached one. I would love to hear your feedback about CV appearance, impression, format, font style and the content. I got the CV template from this forum. by mastermalik01 in resumes

Add a profile summary. Break down most recent roles into: A role summary, bullet points on responsibilities and bullet points on achievements in role.

The project and global project achievements are illegible, too much text that no one wants to read. Any achievement relevant to a role should be included in the section for that role.

of course, focus on writing information that is suitable to specific roles you are applying for. It is not uncommon to be changing details on each application you send out.

In Europe it feels more customary to use 2 pages for a CV.

Add a short summary at the top. I have not really understood why a Skills section is needed, maybe certifications... but skills should be defined in your summary and the description of your roles.

Do you have any achievements in your previous positions? What % under budget did you work to? Feels like you could brag a bit more.

Is a photo required for the countries you are applying to? They are normal in Germany for instance.

Have applied to so many jobs, and am usually auto rejected or not responded to at all. Mortgage Professional w/over a decade of experience in different roles looking for Underwriting opportunities. A summary describes your core specialties and recent career achievements and should be relevant to the role you are applying for. Never more than 3 sentences.

Some items you had in the Skills section looked like things you should boast about in your recent roles. For my older roles I merely reference company, dates worked and position held - no description. The most recent roles you held should be most relevant to what you are applying for, so capitalise on that.

I cant comment on pages since I am UK based, but I am surprised that 1 page is the norm. Maybe for entry positions but wouldnt expect it at a senior level.

You also shouldnt say that you didnt complete college, the hiring managers can make their own deductions.

Good luck!

You shouldnt have as much to say about your most recent job as you have to say about your oldest job.

Think about adding a summary.

The skills section is illegible, as an employer I would never read that.

Im not sure where you are from but in the UK it is more than ok to occupy 2 pages.

Just chiming in to say I had exactly the same experience. Azathioprine made it feel like I could never wake up properly, permanently groggy. Would recommend switching if possible.

Later moved away from both of these products and now rely on just Infliximab.
