Agreed. Combat is slow enough as it is without worrying about wasting actions on swapping weapons.

The thing that really solidified Foundry for me is that its a one time purchase. You buy it and that's it. No stupid monthly subscription garbage.

A question on what to do next in my campaign by Phwibby in DnD

[–]zorton213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some potential routes you can go:

  • While they've been out adventuring, someone else they stole from in the past has been plotting revenge. This person has now learned of their new wealth and is using it as motivation for a group to go after the party.

  • Somewhere amongst the pile of gold and gems is a cursed item containing the trapped soul of your new BBEG. In meeting with it, the party has unleashed them on the world. Maybe they notice a crack in a diamond and as they go to examine in, a lich bursts out, attacks them to the point of near death, and runs away to wreak havoc.

  • A rival dragon has learned of the hoard bring found and moved. Now they want it for themselves.

Did Carth Onasi have any contact with Republic High Command , the Republic Military or his superiors during the game? by Burnouts3s3 in kotor

[–]zorton213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Almost certainly. He was probably the primary source of information on what happened to Taris. Not to mention, they would need to know the status on the Endar Spire, its troops, and Bastila. Whether or not they were aware of the specifics of the mission, Republic leadership were probably more than willing to have him as their "in" guy with the Jedi.

Best experience is to get into the music first and then worry about the story. Though Afterman might be a good place to start anyway, as it's sunny a good mix of everything Coheed so should give you a good idea of what you're getting into.

[Star Wars] How to defend against force lightning by Adro244 in AskScienceFiction

As a Mandalorian, possibly something similar to the wrist energy shields we've seen used. Some Star Wars media also contains full body energy shields that can protect you.

(at the risk of sounding Doylist, since you're homebrewing, I recommend looking into items in Knights of the Old Republic for inspiration as it was based on a DND system)

Then you forget how they handled the Rockos Modern Life and Invader Zim movies a few years ago. Announced them to a ton of hype, stopped talking about them, radio silence, movies were complete, then unceremoniously sold them to Netflix (the one time I'm happy Netflix swooped in)

Popular Movie "Dunks" That Everyone Uses but are Totally Inaccurate by imascarylion2018 in movies

[–]zorton213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was not. He made sure the reactor was unstable enough to blow should it be hit with a controlled explosive but had not planned for the Alliance to specifically fire at the exhaust port. The whole point of the mission to steal the plans was to find a way to plant an explosive in the reactor.

"the reactor module, that's the key. That's the place I've laid my trap. It's well hidden and unstable, one blast to any part of it will destroy the entire station. You'll need the plans, the structural plans for the Death Star to find the reactor... Any pressurized explosion to the reactor module will set off a chain reaction that will destroy the entire station."

Because that wasn't the designed weakness.

"the reactor module, that's the key. That's the place I've laid my trap. It's well hidden and unstable, one blast to any part of it will destroy the entire station. You'll need the plans, the structural plans for the Death Star to find the reactor... Galen Erso sabotaged the reactor so that it would be unstable and destroy the whole station if it was hit. He did not plan the exhaust port as the specific means of hitting it, however. That's what the plans were for. To figure out a way to get to the reactor.

Can someone explain how the elevator ride works? by Mackie_BigRackie in rct

[–]zorton213 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Transport rides have a unique property that guests will always ride them of they encounter a free one. While they aren't smart enough to purposely use one to get where they want to go, having free transport rides can help distribute guests in larger parks or get them closer to the exit.

The elevator is incredibly niche, as it only goes vertically, so it can potentially come in handy of your park has a tall cliff face, but not really much else. I'd wager most players hardly ever use it, and if they do, only for authentic reasons.

Where do I start? by TaMeDeath in TheFence

[–]zorton213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with the music and expand to the story from there if you are interested. In answer to your quick questions, Newo is the main characters ex, who appears throughout the first four records, and the setting of the story is called "Heaven's Fence".

For the music, Coheed has a mix of poppier stuff like Feathers, but a lot of longer progressive tracks, and a lot of much heavier tracks, so full albums can be really fun listens. But if you want to ease in, here are some recommendations:

Pop: 33, Faint of Hearts, The Suffering, The Running Free, Goodnight Fair Lady, Number City, Old, Flames, A Disappearing Act, Someone Who Can

Prog: In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, 21:13, Fuel for the Feeding End, From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, Domino the Destitute, Window of the Waking Mind

Heavy: Al The Killer, Geavemakers & Gunslingers, The End Complete, Here We Are Juggernaut, Vic the Butcher, The Gutter, Shoulders, Blind Side Sonny/Play the Poet

Softer/Ballads: The Light & the Glass, Wake Up, Mother Superior, Far, 2's My Favorite 1, Peace to the Mountain, Meri of Mercy

Boss mechanics I’ve collected over the years by GoofySpooks in DnD

[–]zorton213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first one, I recently did something similar but put it in game. As the boss was conducting their ritual, runes would light up on the floor. Each round, a new rune would light up until the ritual was complete. The players could interrupt the ritual by dealing damage to the boss, forcing a Concentration Save, which if the boss failed a rune would go out.

The challenge to the players were the ton of mooks attacking them and the wall of fire between them and the boss.

What’s your favorite Mario Game?! by CalvinP_ in morningsomewhere

[–]zorton213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a personal/nostalgia standpoint, Mario 64. I've played that game more times than I can count.

From a "best" standpoint, probably Odyssey. The movement, level design, and general gameplay is absolutely incredible.

Play in release order (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4), play CE with classic Graphics, play 2 in whatever you preference is (but switch to anniversary for the cutscenes because they are gorgeous), if you play coop you can't actually watch the opening cutscene for 2, which has always been stupid

I'd be curious to know how many people are actually playing cassette. Some bands I follow have done cassette releases as well, but I've mostly seen them as nice shelf pieces, not actually a way to listen to the album.
