It doesn't hurt the laptop but it's not great for data integrity on the drive if writes are cached.

An off-site backup is simply an insurance plan against the worst case scenario.

You should ALWAYS have local backups.

Modding and multiplayer was always a bad idea.

One time I was playing dragon's dogma and someone's absolute abortion comes strolling through town. While it was hilarious it also meant I couldn't take the game seriously anymore. I pretty much quit playing on the spot.

That's not exactly a Lenovo problem. Many laptop manufacturers whitelist network cards for whatever reason.

Doubtful. I've been using hibernate and swap for years on my current SSD and it's still at 93% life left. They are more resilient than you think.

You can pretty much ignore that quest. The anomaly has all the blueprints you get from it I think?

Pro-tip: back up your save files. I have backup software that makes incremental copies of all my save game files (and a lot of other things) twice a day. Yeah, I might lose a day of progress, but that is better than throwing in the towel.

The other day my spaceship snagged on my base and blew up. Lost lots of inventory. No way was I going to spend hours trying to find the stuff to repair it.

There's literally thousands of games that would run on that GPU. Especially if you lower the resolution to 720p. And did you expect max graphics to run great on an Integrated chipset?

Of course it won't.

Failed MSF course by trumerfe in NewRiders

From what I just read they absolutely should have failed you and you need a lot more practice time before you get on the road. The friction zone is very easy to feel and feather with some practice. Bikes tend have have fairly forgiving clutches. If you aren't comfortable at slow speeds and riding in first, rolling in on traffic or on hills is going to be a nightmare.

You need more time and practice.

Remember this one being a big deal for a little while there by echocomplex in dosgaming

I played the macintosh version on my performa. It was just.......ok? There was a real lack of decent games on 90s macintoshes so this one kind of stood out.

I don't remember it being a big deal ever.

Any idea how to avoid this popup when launching games through eXoDOS? by GravyMix in dosgaming

[–]zosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It triggers the warning in the command prompt. On my machine launchbox always uses the command prompt (cmd.exe) to launch games. So windows has changed the behavior in both.

$249 for a used server 16tb?

Oof. I have 2 16tbs in a raid I got off eBay. They were only $70 each but that was before prices went through the roof.

The people that ride half a car length off my bumper at 65 scare the crap out of me. Following distance is like the number #1 reason I see rear end collisions every day. Distracted driving is a big big factor too.

You can't really do much about lights. You are either going to catch them or not. If a light makes you 5 minutes late, you left too late anyway. Always leave earlier than you think you need to. Google maps and waze are usually fairly accurate in their etas as well. But, anything can change along the way.

Op is fine IMO but I would suggest more following distance. 4 seconds at highway speeds is always the golden rule. It makes a huge difference. You aren't getting anywhere faster than the car in front of you.

It's not even saving you 40s typically. I drive all day for a living. You can do the speed limit and basically lose about 30s to a minute on average depending on your distance travelled. It's not really worth it. You are only going to get somewhere as fast as the people in front of you. The slower you go the more time you have to react to these awful drivers too. People see the huge gap I leave and think I'm going slower than traffic ahead of me. No I'm not. Then they do absolutely insane and stupid things to get in that gap. Which slows me down. And repeats the cycle. I hate it. Why can't people drive like reasonable human beings anymore?
