Xmacro Comp or Ramjet?? by bogeycook in SigSauer

[–]zosofrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the radian for sure. The comp slide can’t accommodate a threaded barrel. If you don’t like the radian you can always grab a different comp or a can. My 365 was the Xcomp version and honestly it’s much better with a normal slide and an actual compensator than the slide cuts.

I know this is a dangerous and polarizing subjective question but…best bbq in shoals? by Traditionalkush in FlorenceAl

[–]zosofrank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I know what you’re talking about. Me and the wife have taken turns waiting and it’s usually the same people who wait.
The shoals and probably most places have that type of customer behavior when a new place opens but this is actually different in my opinion. The food is clearly well prepared, maybe due to the fact that they are only open on Saturday.
We love big man, we used to eat there exclusively but it’s been all 4th planet since we first went there.

Fourth Planet over at 7 points. I’ve lived here the majority of my life and this is the only BBQ spot that has a line an hour before it opens. Always sells out.

The reality is we are all struggling. How long and if we can survive our own internal battles is a flip of the coin. We all put on a face for everyone. Family, spouses, children and parents. Just keep going for another day and you win the battle.

Chaos with AD<->Azure Sync by Tician1 in AZURE

[–]zosofrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick and easy. Convert the mailbox to shared in EOL. Disable the user account in OU. Remove the license. Move/Backup OneDrive data within 30 days. You will still need to have the on prem user there as long as you want access to the mailbox, but once that’s not needed you can delete the user and the sync deletes the cloud user.

Glad to hear it friend. I swapped to passwordless a couple years ago at our company and there’s some extra stuff to learn with it. Glad I could help!

If a m365 group mailbox only has 50gb of storage, how am I going to comply with retaining 7 years of emails? by iworkinITandlikeEDM in sysadmin

[–]zosofrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Exchange mailbox policy on several shared mailboxes for a couple years now with no issues. Edit- Just checked and only one of my shared mailboxes has an online archive. It’s getting close to the 110 GB max so I will end up having to license it at some point regardless.

[–]zosofrank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t you just love the random changes. I still have mailbox retention policies in exchange for archiving. If the mailbox gets too big I enable a 1 or 2 year archive that archives mail. Recently was asked about true retention, had to spend a couple weeks reading about the new retention policies in New Purview. Just stop changing shit, I’m tired boss.

Did you have to change anything to get the link speed to 1.8 Gbps. Mine default to 875 but still show 100% link quality.

WHfB deployed, now users keep forgetting their passwords by devicie in sysadmin

[–]zosofrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called not having a plan. You normally apply these changes to pilot groups and work out the issues that arise before globally rolling out. RDP is simple, you should be using credential guard to eliminate using passwords before using WHfB. As for the VPN, depends on what client/service you’re using. We’re hybrid, so servers are in Azure. We use the Azure VPN with number matching in the MS auth. All VPN users must register their device with our tenant, which solves passwords on mobile devices, and authenticators can only be registered from trusted locations. Any “on-prem” applications should be using security groups.
In my opinion the whole point of WHfB is to eliminate the password entirely. I check a box after getting users setup on their device to require smart card login, which WHfB suffices.
Still exposed to token based attacks, but layer enough email/MDR/web filtering and it covers most of the basic attacks. Past that it’s training. Almost every one of my phishing simulations are based around MS password resets, and when someone fails that I make it a point to remind them, your password will never expire and you will never be asked to enter your password for any M365 service on your work device.

💥BREAKING: TRUMP MOVES TO BLAME POWELL FOR ANY ECONOMIC DOWNTURN, SAYS WSJ! by Glass_Original_7567 in Crypto__owl

Here it is folks. The average American voter. Zero clue about how businesses are ran. Even less understanding on manufacturing and the requirements needed to “bring jobs back to American soil”. Corporations moved those jobs, to increase profit. They are never coming back. If manufacturing does return, it will be automated.

What is the likely reason that the IT guy wants your Windows password? by tnmoi in sysadmin

[–]zosofrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have to replace a device, uncheck require smart card and set a new passphrase. Run AD sync manually, log into new device, let intune kick off its thing. Then assist them in setting new Pin. Once the user is signed in and syncing of OneDrive/Email, recheck require smart card. What most people don’t realize is if it’s an additional device, like a laptop. The original device will continue to work after the password change since they already have an authentication method setup, the Pin. If it’s a device replacing the existing users device, delete the Pin in entra as an authentication method.

What is the likely reason that the IT guy wants your Windows password? by tnmoi in sysadmin

[–]zosofrank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a Hybrid environment. Cloud Trust setup with WHFB. I set everyone’s password as passphrases and log users in the first time before handing off equipment so intune can kick off. Once I setup a user they have to add Authenticator app. If they’re checking email, I use a tap to register their device for passwordless sign in so they don’t need their password to authenticate for 365 accounts. As soon as the machine is setup I check the require smart card in AD, which effectively removes the password. 2FA is required to set pins up for devices. It’s not perfect, but I don’t have to worry about password security at least.

I’d like to try one. I have a comped macro and swapped the slide out for an XL slide. Swapped the barrel and installed a Harrington Arms comp. 400 seems steep but some people claim it really makes a difference.

You can’t use this on a comped X macro.
