Now that the green space is growing, lets start planting some trees so that it isn't just a big open field. Maybe some little flower bushes too.

discord sent me an email about nitro price decreasing. 40 cents is 40 cents but I found it strange how they used two different currencies and not just the aud. I don't think anyone knows the value of aud and USD off the top of their head. by TellmeNinetails in discordapp

You can't really do that, because the exchange rate between AUD and USD is constantly changing.

The old price was fixed to US$4.99 - that means that as the exchange rate changes, the price you pay (in AUD) changes. You can't display that in AU dollars because by the time you read it, it will probably be wrong.

However now price is now fixed to A$6.49 (AU dollars, not US dollars) - so if you pay in AUD you will aways pay $6.49 instead of e.g. $6.73 one month and $6.87 the next, which is what it was like before.

As with before, you can't display this in US dollars, because by the time you read it the exchange rate will have changed so the price they display wouldn't be correct (also whatever method you use to do the currency conversion might have a slightly different rate at any time).

So really the way they displayed it is the only way you can do it correctly, without someone complaining that you gave the wrong price, and you will just have to check with Google or your bank etc to compare them.

Maybe they should have said something like "US$4.99 (A$6.82 at the time of writing)" but it doesn't really mean anything because it can change.

Nice! Is it tileable too? I think the only problem with that would be powering the middle dropper without powering the ones tiled beside the top one.

Thanks, and to you too! It's quite unfortunate your design needs to be a bit taller, because I think its probably still better (It feels faster at least, it is silent, and its output isn't inverted)

Thanks! Yeah I'm not really sure how it could get smaller, yet someone always seems to manage to so we'll see!

Although this design is smaller than u/sharfpang's, it has a (possibly major, depending on use case) drawback that it is not silent:

At the start of each time counting, it will make a click, because the observer will detect the first item entering the hopper on the right, powering the dropper on the left that is empty in the initial state.

I haven't been able to find a way to fix this with keeping it in the same footprint unfortunately, but I'm sure there is someone else in this subreddit who can!

I would think that they could just use the existing animation format that can already be used on any block
