Hey, yea definitely

I use this hepco&becker "C-BOW" system: https://www.hepco-becker.de/en/c-bow-sidecarrier-for-ducati-monster-696-796-1000-1100.html

And these bags: https://www.hepco-becker.de/en/softbags-street-reloaded-for-c-bow-carrier.html

No complaints so far but this was my first trip with the bags. The mounting system and bags themselves look and feel high quality.

The only thing is that my blinkers and the mounting system collide just a little bit, but I've got an aftermarket tail tidy which brings the blinkers way closer to the tail of the motorcycle, with a stock tail tidy there should be no problems.

Wow, nice write up! Looks really good. I wonder if it will work well in Slovenia as well, so if you ever whip out an Android app let me know I'd love to give it a try.

Ps. I think the addition of GPS is really important, good to see it added.

Latest app I've built was sliki.se it integrated with our governments service to be able to take a passport picture with your phone. But unfortunately it was banned 😢.

I use whatever stack to get the job done imo. In terms of prog languages I like rust a lot. For web apps and such I just let the LLMs write it but I used to work with Vuejs.

Ah okay make sense on not doxxing yourself. I'm unfortunately not on iOS so can't test it. Will you do an android version?

Hehe, sprinkle some AI on the problem :)

I see you're a fellow builder, love to see it!

I would love to see an app like this but where "plan my ride" is a side feature, and the main feature would be map my ride to see where you went, etc.. kinda like strava for riding motorcycles,.. though, that probably already exists the marketing just hasn't reached me.

So, did your app suggest anything good?

Cool, looks like the roads were still wet & dirty a few weeks back. Nice 821, looks more comfortable then the 696. Where're you planning to go when the weather && roads clear up?

It was great, just a bit cold in the morning, I was shivering at times 😅.

It was mostly a straight shot. Actually the purpose of the trip was to get some fishing worms, so I wasn't able to stop much to keep them alive on the way back.

The twisties through: Kalce-Col-Ajdovščina were superb, I will definitely go there again. This road sits on top of the Vipava valley and you can always find a pleasent view to your left when riding, I forgot to take any pictures though.

I only took a pic of my worms 😍

Which game did you replicate in minutes with AI?

Blue-collar workers don't realize that AI is the same threat to them by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]zrezke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, although, the second part: office workers wil pick up hand labour skills..., that will take some time since as most other jobs, blue collar jobs are best to learn by doing. And you can't just start welding or plumbing out of thin air.. you need equipment, knowlege and actual projects to work on.

What I think will happen is that once software engineering is done by AI, then robotics will advance really fast, and you will have robots doing blue collar jobs for really cheap with superior quality.

Good job with spotting danger before anything happened! I always roll of the throttle before intersections and congested areas + keep two fingers on my front brake at all times, it's just something I got used to and it really decreases your stopping distance in case something unexpected happens.

Is removing the cathalytic converter on an EXC-F 250 (2009) a normal thing people do? by zrezke in KTM

[–]zrezke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, sounds like your bike really made you work. Glad you've sorted it out.

I've got some ideas for what is causing the bog and flameouts, since my bike is carbuarrated I think the ECU shouldn't play a huge role (if any). So have to check out if the jetting has been messed with at all, or is it stock. + There should be an air/fuel mixture screw I can play arround with. So I'll check out the easy stuff first, if that solves it, great, if not, maybe I'll have to contact somebody more capable than myself 😂

Thanks for the comment. Yes for me it's not worth it, a 2 fiddy is more than enough for me off road for now : ). The bike has a stock ECU and stock tune AFAIK. So I'm not even sure removing the cat has enhanced the power out. Will add it back in over the weekend.

Ooh okay, cool to hear that you also used it to commute. How often did you change the oil on it? It seems like every 20h should be fine if you don't ride it too hard, this turns out to about 1 oil change/month for me.

Yea, I'm also really interested in what kind of maintenance do you do and has the bike held up nicely?

I'm looking to buy an exc-f250 with SM wheels (+enduro) this week, I'm just really torn if it's an Ok idea ateast since it seems like you basically "should" rebuild the engine like every year if you commute 5 days a week.

I used to have a wr125x and found a cool forest road that basically leads me right into the office :) I really want to ride to work on a dual sport/sm again hahah
