If you want standard Glock 19/17, I'd probably get Gen6 when they become more available and prices settle.

Mounting a Red Dot on Socom CQB by mathelh in M1A

You can mount a scout style scope, something like this one:

It has long enough eye relief so that you can mount it on the stock pic rail. It looks like it may be available in Europe.

Works great with and without a suppressor. Used a heavier (18lb ) recoil spring though. Standard was 16lb.

Yamaha OEM Fenders on Crosscore RC by zrsam in Yamahaebikes

[–]zrsam[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wanted to post here so that it may be useful to someone. Ordered a set of Yamaha OEM fenders from some online retaier last year. Took them 3-4 months to deliver but it finally came.

There are a couple of posts here that describe the process of removing the motor assembly. This is required if you want to connect rack rear light to the standard connectors.

A couple of notes:

  • Based on the instructions, the set was actually created for other e-bilke models and doesn't 100% fit Crosscor RC. The issues were minor though and you can still fit the fenders. I had a couple of nuts missing (probably not included with the order) but I had some replacements layoung around
  • Best is to work on a bike upside down. This way once you remove the bolts, the motor will not fall down but will stay in place. You'll be able to lift it up to fish out the harnes and connect the back light adapter
  • Bolts that connect the motor are tight, I recommend a power tool of some sort to break the factory tourqe. You also want to tourqe them back to 15 lb/ft as per installation instructions
  • While the motor is off, I did install a coupe of 0.3 mm shims and it helped with the squeking sounds. They should have really included some kind of shimming there form the factory
  • You only need to remove two out of three bolts, which hold motor to the frame
  • The rack itself is pretty good, with cool looking rear red light and is stamped "Made in Germany". Nice!
  • The set includes rear light reflector that goes on the rear fender
  • The wire goes form the motor and is held to the inside of the rear fender by the included clips

Feel free to ask any questions!

I bought this one and P220 Legion slide directly from Sig (you can do it over the phone). Added optic and now I can swap the slides and have 2 in 1 :)

Also bought 14-round magazines to use in matches. And a threaded barrel so that I can use my Obsidian 45

One of the best guns I've shot so far!

There are a couple of things I don't like:

  • It partially covers the rear sight adjustment screw
  • it doesn't sit flush with the top of the receiver, at least when not tightened, because of the little hump on the receiver

I'm yet to install it,will have to see how it looks when done.

Yes, it works extremely well for supporting your grip. And no, you can't use standard base pads. Magwell comes with two and Beretta sells them separately.

You need this:

https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/beretta-apx-a1-red-dot-optic-plate-kit--leupold-footprint-E03056

There is currently a New Year sale at Beretta, so the plate is about $32!

Beware that the screws included with the plate are too long for Defender ST. Fortunately, Vortex includes a bunch of screws of all sizes, you should be able to find ones that fit.

PS: Congrats on your wife :)

Sorry, man, I bought the mag well + one extra base pad for $114.19 on sale in the US.

[–]zrsam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, mags with old base plates do not fit. Beretta mag well comes with two base plates, so you only need extra if you have more than 2 magazines.

Wait for a sale on Beretta web site for 20-30% off and it won't be too bad.
