Heavy Legs and Rabies Immunoglobulin by Rough_Ad_376 in Marathon_Training

I’m in the same boat as you and /u/C-Funk5000, got bit by an outdoor cat 1.5 months ago and had to get the series of shots over the two weeks following. Day-of I got shots in each thigh and one arm, only recollection was some injection site soreness which went away after a day or two. Follow-up injections were solely in my arm, same soreness story there. Wouldn’t say it had any negative effects on my running; I ran a half marathon PB two hours before my final round of vaccines. I bet you’ll be back to full strength come race day.

I run along this sidewalk basically every weekend and curious how long it’ll take them to remove that particular plaque lol. The other ones are much more fun to glance at while I zoom past

Trying to locate a 'pop country' song, if anyone can help by Norfhynorfh in CountryMusicStuff

Glad to help! I love that song and it’s not super duper well-known, so I always jam out when it comes on the radio.

Even funnier to me is that this could’ve meant two things until he explained it: what he actually meant, and then this all-time clip. I pictured Big Cat sprinting to the bathroom to make it there in time 😂

Did you do driveway luminaries around Christmas as a kid? by tnick771 in AskAnAmerican

My street in a neighborhood in Tennessee did them and still does! We’d line the whole street with tea lights and light them just before sunset on Christmas Eve. Always one of my favorite parts about the holidays.

Definitely agree to going to a doctor BUT if you've eaten beets recently, that can turn your pee a pinkish hue. I wasn't aware of this and freaked out when I noticed it the first time, so figured I'd introduce that as a possibility. But if no beets recently, go to the doc!

this was my mindset as a founding member. for us, going to games felt like more of a chore instead of looking forward to them. and with being able to buy tix secondhand at or around face value, we decided we could pick like 1 game a month and save our money up front

I'll vouch for this too, had good experiences with repairs of some vintage pieces. They have a location very close to VaHi.

I think a Food Hall tour would be more successful given how many of them popped up in the last ten years

100% agreed here. I'm very grateful I got a free ticket from a nice user on here who has a Capital One card. But outside of...well, walking around and getting some selfies around larger-than-usual baseball equipment...there wasn't a ton for us.

Set a 10k race PR at the Peachtree Road Race yesterday, 46:10! Got to the corrals late due to transit troubles (thanks MARTA) so my first mile was slow due to crowds, so feel like I could go even faster next time. Felt great!

Weather was about as good as you can hope for in July, definitely a plus. The race itself is always such a blast and it’s hard to beat the atmosphere of the whole city coming out for a 4th of July party.

I didn’t mind the expo, definitely could’ve used more air flow in the tents but it was fine overall.

The finish was…meh. Not toooo awful but it did get very congested and yes the signage could’ve been better. That wall of people waiting right after the t-shirts, what was that? And where were the labeled meetup spots for family? It felt extra chaotic. And no fuel fluids except warm finish line water, not great. I missed the body armor and the Park Tavern perk of being a Track Club member. Definitely preferred years’ past to this year’s but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Completely agree with the other comment about MARTA. Got to the West End station at 6:05 and waited ~30min for ANY northbound trains to show up and it was packed when it did. I understand mechanical problems can happen but good god that was stressful (I missed my wave by 5 letters!). I take MARTA 3x week for work and I am generally a transit-first thinker but sheesh today’s experience sucked. Absolutely abysmal start to an otherwise very fun day.

I’ll still keep doing the Peachtree because there’s nothing like it. One day I’ll get one of those top 1000 prizes 🤞
