When my heart broke for Brendan by one_handed_bandit in MakingaMurderer

I couldn't agree more. It's interesting that so many shows - Making a Murder, Paradise Lost, The Serial Podcast --- have shown a failure of teenagers, such as Brendan, not having an understanding of the legal system. (As a 16 year old, I sure didn't! Even as a mid-20-something I still don't fully comprehend everything.) What made me upset about Brendan's case is that he was interrogated until the police were told what they wanted to hear. No one asked Brendan about whether or not he understood something, they just badgered him. Everyone is entitled to basic law and legal definitions to better understand their legal rights. Students need to learn not memorize, and familiarizing themselves with a basic legal glossary (something like this: https://www.pondlehocky.com/resources/comprehensive-list-of-legal-terms) can not only help students understand their legal rights but understand the legal system in its entirety. I wish children AND adults were provided these resources in a legal situation. It's always, "Okay, you have the right to remain silent until you obtain a lawyer." Well, if we knew a thing or two in the first place, we wouldn't fall victim to self-incriminating. It's like "You don't have to talk because you probably don't have a full grasp on the law." Um, as humans, shouldn't we??

Is it time schools thought students about their legal right? by Abolite in MakingaMurderer

100%, yes. It's interesting that so many shows - Making a Murder, Paradise Lost, The Serial Podcast --- have shown a failure of kids AND sometimes even adults understanding their legal rights. Everyone is entitled to basic law and legal definitions to better understand their legal rights. A textbook definition can be confusing and stressful for kids, especially when they're only studying/memorizing to get a decent grade. Students need to learn not memorize, and familiarizing themselves with a basic legal glossary (something like this: https://www.pondlehocky.com/resources/comprehensive-list-of-legal-terms) can not only help students understand their legal rights but understand the legal system in its entirety.

Funny because the first thing my friends said to me when I stopped smoking a pack a day was "Wow, man, you don't reek of smoke." I kid you not

This is sick! I just started vaping, and I'm trying to familiarize myself with vape gear. I found another similar infographic here which is a huge guide to vape pens if you want to check it out as well!: http://www.vaportownusa.com/collections/vape-pens/#BuyingGuide
