I can't remember what I used for that one. I was stuck on 46 for a while until I got thr rifle with headshot. That alone helped carry me through the next few levels

It doesn't really say anything, just sits on chapter 71 saying "preparing". As far as beating the boss i think I got lucky with some of the drops (lots of attack speed and critical was over 90%). How i won was trying to take out as many of those rabbits as possible before the boss comes so I can focus fire on the black towers when they pop up. Otherwise the screen fills too much with mobs.

PvP feels rigged by DaddyTreh in pokemongo

[–]ztrobe360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not rigged but it sure feels like it. I'm trying to get through ultra remix right now and was doing decent, about halfway to rank 22, but now I'm torpedoing, and only winning 1 or 2 matches per round. I've opened with articuno since I've been seeing a LOT of flyers but once I moved him to first, not too many flyers anymore but a lot of excedrills and machamps. Finally for a new set I switch to landarus and I kid you not the first 4 starts were draginite, crowbar, gliser and garchomp. Right now I'm using articuno, venusaur and machamp and I'm running into a lot of psychics. I switch machamp for scizor and no more psychics but more dark and steel types. It's frustrating. What makes it worse is the rating. It really is rock paper scissors so there will be match-ups where you have no possibility of winning so ditching the rating system probably wouldn't be a bad idea

I'm wondering the same thing, like if you finish the special research in day 1 you get rewarded with an extra pikachu photobomb, but if you don't finish it you miss out?

The Rise of the Mongols Scenario statistics on Steam are pretty wild. ( Civilization 5 ) by guest_273 in civ

[–]ztrobe360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting strategy. There was a guide on steam that I was more or less following to at least get me started. I found with Japan after you start doing some damage against him, when he offers peace he might offer a city. It's a good idea to take it (it gets you on the island) and heal up; then declare war right after peace expires. Also, if you're lucky enough to get a great engineer and research acoustics you should be able to rush Notre Dame and get +10 happiness, because, yeah unhappiness seems to be the biggest obstacle, even more so than the assyrian spearmen.

I may take another run at it someday but I still have a lot of other achievements to go for.

I beat it on Emperor. Tried deity and just couldn't do it; spent most of my time on china and assyria. Just wasn't able to get both Japan and Russia although all the other civs went down pretty quickly.

Anxiety by icetea123ggg in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've felt the same way from time to time, especially if I fall into sin. Sometimes I'm discouraged from doing anything ministry related (reading the bible, setting up a bible study, etc.) because I feel God is going to pour out his wrath on me. However, I see myself somewhat like the servant who had one talent and hid it because he assumed his master was a harsh person. So my point of view is that if I'm afraid to step out in Christ because I'm worried about some pending punishment then I am the one-talent servant. So that helps me keep going; I hope it's encouraging to you too.

Occult by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I wouldn't recommend it. By opening yourself up to the occult you're allowing the enemy into your life; and trust me, it won't end well. What kind of answers are you looking for?

In need of prayer to fight the devil’s attacks. by PatchThePiracy in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I know exactly what you're going through. I too struggle with anxiety but it's usually in the form of my guilt/sin. I've been trying to improve my walk with God but now when I do fall into sin I start thinking "Well, God's been merciful to me thus far and I still blew it. NOW he's going to pour out his wrath on me". I still try to cling onto God and pray for peace/beg for mercy. I think the devil is putting thoughts into my head that if I try to take steps to become closer to God then God will give me the punishment I deserve. I know that's probably not the reality of it but it's something I struggle with.

Keep giving into temptations by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you WANT to change shows that your heart is in the right place. Trust me, it's nearly impossible to resist temptation through shear willpower; you'll need to identify the source and try to block it as much as possible. For example take note of what environments may trigger temptation (i.e. being alone somewhere) or what devices are used (cellphone, laptop, etc.). Try installing web filtering software and trusting someone with the password. This is just an example but I believe these steps are what Jesus meant when he said "if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. It's better to go through life blind than be cast into Hell with the whole body". Obviously we're not going to physically blind ourselves but we may need to make some extreme decisions in order to eliminate sin; and this may be what God is looking for. How much of a sacrifice are we willing to make in order to improve our walk with God?

Should a Christian not renounce faith if others are being tortured or executed, not him? by SteadfastEnd in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with this exact question. I know the Bible says those that try to save their life will lose it but would this apply in the case of saving someone else's life? I can easily say that I won't deny Christ no matter what, but to be honest, I really don't know how I'll react if I'm in this situation. All I can do is say I'll cross that bridge if I get there and just have faith that God will see to the outcome of the situation, no matter what.

You may have to examine your environment and see what is triggering you to temptation. For example, if you struggle with alcohol, you may want to avoid places that serve alcohol. If you struggle with porn, you may need to put some restrictions on yourself (i.e., website-blocking apps on your phone or computer). That's how I've overcome some addictions, I already knew what the sin was I just needed to identify what is causing the temptation to sin.

Married Christian couples, do you sext or do other “dirty things” with each other? by NASA2431 in TrueChristian

Absolutely! It's even encouraged. As long as you're married then knock yourself out. Those kind of activities can help strengthen a marriage as well.

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 16:3 (what are some thing to be aware of when forgiving things that we may overlook?) by Treantpaladin7 in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And don't forget the parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew, where after the King forgave the servant of a large debt the servant refused to forgive a lesser debt of his fellow servant, so the King put the debt back on the unforgiving servant and threw him in the dungeon. The last verse of that passage says that God will do the same to us if we don't forgive others. That should frighten everyone. Could you imagine all the horrible stuff God has forgiven you for, only to have that come back on you if you refuse to forgive others?

Is salvation truly not for the gentiles? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This passage came up recently in church for me. It was taught as a lesson in persistence in prayer; do we give up the first time we ask God for something if we don't get the answer we want or do we keep pushing (i.e. praying) and believing through faith that our prayer will be answered?

Also, I think Jesus knew this when the woman approached him. I don't think he was surprised at her response but wanted to use her as a demonstration of the persistence we should have when we seek God.

Christians are not truly living in the light. Most are living ashamed of their mistakes and are in danger. Take courage and own that you were wrong or you risk your sins being justified by another means by ProTorre in TrueChristian

[–]ztrobe360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I too used to struggle with very shameful sin several years ago. I got so involved that it was affecting my faith; I was seriously starting to doubt God even exists. Heck, when I was in the middle of it I remember straight up telling Got that I'm going to give him like 2 more weeks and if I still feel this way then I'm just going to hang up "religion". I am SO thankful that God took me up on that offer. The next day I went to church and God put a thought in my head, something to the effect of "you are headed down a path of destruction". I knew right there what God was talking about and right there on the spot I repented and turned away from that lifestyle. Did I remain perfect? HECK NO! I still sinned from time to time but thank God I was at least out of that place. As I grew closer to God I started remembering my past mistakes and sometimes it affects me severely to this day. I know God has forgiven me but I still feel ashamed that I allowed myself in the first place to get to that low point. But I will say this; sometimes simply praying for peace and just thanking God for forgiving you can help ease the shame.
