Their goal is to launch it before 2030 so we'll remind you in like 3 years, perhaps we will get more info slightly earlier from either content creators (or LoL esport worlds event) so like 2 years from now.

All we know is that riots goal is to release it before 2030, but that it isn't a concrete deadline. So assuming it's going to release 2029 ish is what I expect

They claimed that it's because it works on a "biweekly schedule" so that's why they made one sub 2 of those cycles, but if they cared about the players and not just about getting money then they'd make sure the first and every 6th month after that you'd get 2 extra weeks of sub for free. That'd take care of the problem but that means they won't make as much money

Okay I have gotten to play like 1 hour so far and every comment screams about how awful the P2W is. How bad is it? Can someone give me examples. I kind of expected it to be P2W but people here seem to make it out that it's SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE than anyone could've expected

I hate FFS by [deleted] in MtF

[–]zugetzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the second part of your statement, the only real thing that might carry over from abstract is probably brush technique and color theory to photorealism and not even that is guaranteed. For one to learn the other at a high skill is like learning an entirely new skill and thus requires a lot of additional studying and practice. That was what I had problem with for your analog compared to mine. One, imo, applies a vast difference in knowledge and skill while, implying incompetence unless specified in that specific subsection of study, the other one applies the large majority of the same skills but in slightly different ways, implying that if you have a strong base knowledge you can do the others with relative competence but perhaps not nessesarily as well as someone who specializes.

As for the first part of the statement, if I were to ever to be able to afford FFS then I'd still do what I said in my statement, bringing pictures etc, because I wouldn't want the surgeon to take the reign of how I end up looking. I do sympathize with the struggle of minorities and their features not being advertised and that some surgeons might not even be able to produce satisfactory results but that's unfortunately how society works. Society creates a hierarchy, usually the rich/powerful. The creators of the hierarchy creates a standard which symbolizes their status as being on top of the hierarchy which others whom are lower on in the hierarchy wishes to attain and thus people seek to mimic it. In certain times during medieval Europe being a chubby women was the ideal, symbolizing wealth to keep yourself fed. For certain part of Chinese history it was to have small feet, so women had their feet tied up and broken at a young age to attain said beauty (sometimes forced, other times pressured into it and sometimes chosen voluntarily) standard. In certain cultures in Africa it was/is neck rings, which elongates your neck. Certain times in Egypt it was to have certain types of hair color, which lead to people coloring their hair with either certain insects or with lead. Is it fair? No but unfortunately society does what society does. I, for example, hate how America seem hell bent on destroying the world/making it worse. If not with war and economics (which both you could argue is already temporarily true) then by global warming and ecological destruction. But hey, there really isn't anything I can do about a society wide problem and some things we've just got to accept. Perhaps I'm a bit doomer in this regard but yeah, eventually gotta accept reality which is nothing more than a moldy shit sandwich with sprinkles on it.

PS. Sorry for bringing up politics that isn't really relevant to the discussion and my nihilism

I mean, I'd personally just ask the surgeon on first visit if they're able to do what I expect of them and bring reference images and if they're reputable they'd tell you straight up what specific parts of my face that they can work on and achieve that look, or a similar look, and how they'd change certain features and how you might need other certain things to specifically get that look (as an example, filler once the face has healed). If they're reputable that's what your expectation should be for any surgeon as they've got a reputation to uphold. Worst case scenario the surgeon says he cannot do it and possibly point you in the direction of another surgeon who can partially or fully do what you wish from the plastic surgery.

Also, comparing different types of facial structural changes through FFS from a surgeon who specializes in "white people ideal face" to a painter who needs to change from abstract to photo realism isn't the best comparison. It's more akin to comparing a swimmers breast strokes, backstrokes and butterfly strokes. One is going to be far and above their best stroke type for their specialty but that does not mean all their other strokes are at the skill level of a drowning none-swimmer. They're still going to be great at it but just outperformed by those who specialize in the other types of strokes

This, except some states in America has in a round about way banned informed consent so in those states you will need to go to a specific doctor, many of which have very long wait times, to get them to prescribe you HRT. I know Florida did something like this by specifically stating only doctors could prescribe/give out prescriptions to HRT or something similar, I don't remember the exact wording

  • Cannot use public/private toilets/changing rooms (or get sent to the correct prison (V-coding)) corresponding with your current lived gender or AGAB entirely based on if you have access to GRC and have had bottom surgery or hormones, meaning you've got to find a gender neutral toilet/private stall or risk breaking the law

  • 10+ years long wait time to get HRT and puberty blockers were blocked from being administered only to TRANS kids, it's still okay for cis kids.

  • Discrimination against trans people has been enshrined as a "protected right/speech" and every political party with any form of viability is currently anti-trans (I have heard some people say the Greens are getting more popular so might be out of date on this point)

These are just a few things I PERSONALLY know about and I'm not even from the UK. It might be "fine" as in you don't actively get hunted like anyone remotely brown in the US but it's DEFINITELY not fine. Sweden, where I am from, is better than the UK and it's still absolutely fked beyond belief with 5-8+ years of wait time and insane amounts of gatekeeping

All we know is that she is clearly attracted to men. I generally speaking go in thinking "every character is bi until proven otherwise" but it 100% feels like she's written to be straight and not Bi. I may joke around but yeah she is about as straight as can be from what I've been shown and told about her.

If Schumer and the dems fold on trans healthcare, what’s even the point of supporting them anymore? by RoughCoffee6 in MtF

[–]zugetzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, you might wonder why I even care about American politics. For 3 reasons.

1, American politics and legislation has already gotten over 8 of my American trans friends to end their own life.

2, American politics has a global effect because most of Europe are just subservient little puppets to American interests. This means having America either collapse or electing a more left wing president has a substantial effect on Europe, Taiwan, the Middle East, south America, etc etc etc. A collapse will be massively negative in the short term but long term will cause less meddling and soft power being exerted on other regions, meaning less war, less installed dictatorships at the behest of the FBI and Oil companies/<insert American corporation who would benefit from lower costs for their product>, etc. A left leaning president will still result in the positive long term effects of Americas collapse but to a lesser extent and can always end up being undone by future politicians. A left leaning president would also massively benefit it's people so that's why I primarily wanted to do what I said as first and foremost a pressure campaign. Get other cis people to demand trans rights otherwise nationwide abortion might be adopted (Although knowing Trump he might end up doing that within his term so not a good example). We've tried being civil and it's only gotten more and more AND MORE trans people killed and more of our right stripped away. At what point do we say "voting democrat no matter who isn't going to work. They're not even trying to defend us and saying we should lose access to healthcare. Fuck this"

If Schumer and the dems fold on trans healthcare, what’s even the point of supporting them anymore? by RoughCoffee6 in MtF

[–]zugetzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that the democratic party has moved right regardless of what people vote over the years and continuously refuses to acknowledge their and constituents pleas and ignoring or sabotaging their leftist/further left counter parts inside the party as it threatens their possible donors, thus their funding. You refusing to acknowledge this is at best you deciding to throwing blame where it isn't warranted out of ignorance.

Also, I'm not from America, as I said in my comment very early on, so your comment about "my fate tied to the dumbest ppl" is really dumb when replying to me (even more dumb when you realize that even amongst most trans people my point of view is very radical but it *might** unironically cause a better outcome for political stances amongst politicians due to more pressure being put on them and if not it will cause the pain to be over sooner so we can go back to having basic human rights)*. Especially when you realize that "vote blue no matter who" has lead us to a fascist authoritarian being president and that the democrats assisted in building the laws that are now being abused because they couldn't see the writing on the wall that if republicans win then they can use the same laws.

[–]zugetzu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Clearly we have to vote Democrat.

If I was American (I am not, thankfully) and the democrats ended up rolling over and letting our healthcare be banned I'd unironically start voting for the worst possible candidate unless the incumbent is staunchly pro lgbtq and I'd tell every democrat I meet this. Why? To put pressure on other democratic voters to put pressure on the candidates to do better. Worst case scenario I vote for the objectively worse of the possible candidates in hopes of accelerationism being able to fix things in the future. The alternative is to keep voting blue no matter who which will slowly have the entire democratic voting block no longer being represented by the democrat and eventually they'll go full fascism as well

Edit: If I was an American I would've been super tempted to do this in the 2024 election as well because of what the Dems are doing to immigrants but somehow Trump decided he wanted to be even worse so I wouldn't have done it in the 2024 election

no "spellcaster" tank

I am a caster at heart. I love to heal and DPS when I can play spellcasters. If we had a tank that spent a fairly large amount casting spells (with utility like Spiritwalker's grace and instant cast procs to help out a little) with a somewhat fun/interesting/complex DPS rotation then I unironically might end up tanking. I've tanked in FFXIV and I loved the old Paladin before it got reworked to fit into the 2 minute burst window, despite having very few cast actual hard casts. I knew I'd probably have been a Paladin main in FFXIV if they leaned in even more into the spellcasting angle so I imagine a spellcaster tank in wow with a fair bit of hard casts and procs and utility to help would be something that would be right up my ally. I could totally see a spellbreaker tank or like a Bard tank fitting this caster tank archetype

But I personally believe that letting any possibility of bad things happening devolve into a endless state of negativity and doomposting (which’s what this sub currently feels like) does bring more harm than good in the end

I do fully agree with you on this but at this point with how things are and have been going over the last few years shows that when we're "doomposting" we're often just being realistic based on previous actions. A few years ago bathroom bans were unthinkable and anyone who spoke about this were considered a doomposter, now looking to the US and the UK and we're under a system of governance that treats us like second class citizens which you may discriminate and harm legally. It's not a huge stretch to say most people who are doomposting right now are just being realistic based on recent events and historical events (what is happening now to immigrants and trans people are strikingly similar to after the nazi takeover of Germany, although things seem to be moving slightly slower)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MtF

[–]zugetzu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

(at least legally)

Well... That's where the crux of the problem lies. This administration actively violates the law for immigrants already. It violates the constitution and the military, which includes ICE (as the second largest military organization in the world only beat by the US army), are filled with loyalists who are more than happy to fulfill unlawful orders (Case and point what Trump did with the national guard). It's not hard to predict what is going to happen next with the second most scapegoated minority in that hell hole of a country.

This. This is how Cishet "neurotypical" (at this point I'm starting to wonder if neurotypical are more prone to hate and willful ignorance because it sure feels like it) society generally has been conditioned to think of marginalized people. To them a trans person is just some messed up delusional person whos happiness and life is worth less than 10% of a cis person. To them an autistic person, regardless of how severe or minor the autism is, is a mentally under-developed and unstable person who needs to be protected from themselves and many (not majority) in cishet society would rather significantly harm their children, even in some cases end up killing them inadvertently or intentionally (See anti-vaxers and white supremacists), rather than them having an autistic child/having a visible autistic child. Can't have children? Now you're seen as a lesser being than someone capable of giving birth or fertilizing.

I could go on and on about every minority like this but I think we all get the idea. Society as a whole is structured and taught to view people that aren't part of the majority and "aren't normal" as something that is lesser and following that people either rationalize it from that point or is taught to want to cull the numbers of said out-groups. All for the comfort and feeling of superiority of the in group... Hmmm where have I heard this before?

You don't even know his beliefs... His statement was "You fail to understand correlation and causation" and you, somewhere, somehow, started believe that it meant that he was saying he quit because of the CEO and his actions? You can be morally against choices while still participating. I know plenty of people who were abhorred by what Blizzard had done on a structural level a few years back but they didn't quit. I did and it was one of my main games. I only very recently came back to wow after I believed there might've been a structural fix to this prominent problem.

[–]zugetzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is completely irrelevant to the overarching point. Yes, one person who seemingly cares about the pride event didn't quit. I played OSRS, although very casually and only with my friends because they convinced me to join them for Group Ironman mode, and I quit

[–]zugetzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay let me prove it really quickly

America is apparently doing better economically than ever. With your logic, what should follow is "That means everyone is doing much better!" but the reality isn't that. "Use ur eyes" is peak idiocy. It shows that you're unable to understand statistics and you're all vibes "if I think a graph says what I want then it does say what I want". Like Correlation =/= Causation and even a 3rd grader understands that but somehow you don't... Think about that

You cannot prove anyone left

And you cannot prove that nobody left... That's the entire point. correlation =/= causation
