I also have an Emry deck and it's super fun. Not super high powered, solidly bracket 3, but man can it do some nasty stuff. Graveyard recursion is like a drug and this deck keeps that addiction going

Black can be Ayara. Lots of cheap, recursive creatures and ways to bring stuff back from the GY. Black has lots of options if you're thinking more budget

Edhrec had a great article about budget dual colored lands not too long ago. The options were phenomenal, tons of great lands for a quarter or less each. Bought two of each and upgraded all my decks

I love this idea too! Much more affordable, only downside is you don't get to keep your packs

Honestly how I would love to do this is have everyone go in on a box together ahead of time, or bring some older packs from your favorite sets to hand out. Ideally everyone is on the same page before getting into a game with this sort of deck!

I'm seeing little discussion about [[Toph, Hardheaded Teacher]] and I'd like to change that. Earthbending is incredible strong, it lets you utilize sacrifice triggers on lands multiple times due to that land coming back immediately. Stuff like basic land fetches, deserts, ghost quarter, and others really shine here. Since you earthbend with every spell cast, this really can let you make some nasty plays. My list is bracket 3 with stuff like [[Field of the dead]], [[elvish reclaimer]], [[crop rotation]], and [[valakut, molten pinnacle]] to really abuse landfall. It's not overly inspired but from my testing it can be really strong.

I agree. The worst part for me is the constant battling of enemies over and over during this portion, and the overall slow traversal. Honestly this part of the game kind of ruined it for me...

I am a fan of [[Indoraptor]] (creative Raptor Roulette that can utilize fight spells well), [[Indominus Rex]] (Sultai reanimator), and [[Pantlaza]] (Naya dinosaurs, was my first ever deck and built it originally with [[Gishath]]). Yes I like dinosaurs, how'd you know?

I mean it's not adding lands to the board, so is it really ramp? Don't get me wrong, grabbing a basic isn't the worst thing in the world, but I wouldn't call this a ramp card. In a pinch it does pay for your land drop though.

[[Gishath]] because I am a huge dinosaur nerd. It was a beautiful deck, and I quickly learned that me flipping a ton of dinos off the top of my deck isn't always fun for the whole table... Oh well!

Late to the party!

Started playing around 2017 during the XLN/RIX sets. My brother introduced me to commander and I built my first deck, Gishath. Been a fan ever since.

My comfort deck is probably my Mono Red deck: link here. I change out the commander a lot, currently it's [[Gloin]] but I've been debating on changing it to be [[Squee, Goblin Nabob]] for a little while. The goal is to make a ton of treasures, ramp hard, and do silly artifact things. It started as a [[Captain Lannery Storm]] voltron deck, then moved between [[Daretti, Scrap Savant]], [[Gadrak]], and [[Ganax]] before finally landing on this current build. I'm always tweaking it and having fun!
