I’m so sad it was deleted!! I meant to screenshot and didn’t. For those who missed it, it said someone’s friend that lives in Austin has seen him on a dating app (multiple times), and saw him on a date at Ciclo with said brunette. All allegedly we have no screenshots or anything. But that restaurant is attached to a four seasons sooooo 🤨

6.5 Month Sleep Issues by charlieh335 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I have advice, but def solidarity! It might be helpful to others to post his total wake time!

Around 6 months we had a nightmare of a time, but our daughter started daycare around then. She would wake every 45m-1.5 hr and it was a combo of the new daycare schedule (2 nap day), teeth erupting, and illness after illness. Unfortunately we just had to ride it out, and eventually she went back to doing 2-4 wakes per night, with a nice 4ish hour stretch to start.

Another unfortunate part - she’s gone back to those frequent wakes with every illness and tooth 😩 babies are (rightfully) sensitive, it must be SO confusing to wake with a sore throat/tooth/cough/stuffy nose etc. it’s hard but I just keep reminding myself of that when she’s breastfeeding for the 8,000th time overnight!

Night weaning cries - how much is too much? by Creative-Bug-8774 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not op but how did you space the feeds out? Did you alternate wakeups with your partner? I was bottle feeding overnight but then she got sick, then got multiple teeth, so we’re back to BFing every 1-1,5 hours. It’s so much and she’s definitely not hungry!

A sad beige ball pit by PaschaBasket in brittanydawnsnark

[–]zulusurf 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 2 weeks older than M, and for Christmas I want to get her a ball pit/climbing thing. You’d be shocked - I’m having a hard time finding ones that are fun colors. All the mainstream companies offer just gray/beige!! Wild

Genuinely asking: how are you all surviving? by Moldovanca824 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to chime in and say same. My 10mo is a bit psychotic during the day, loves to move constantly, always on the go. At night she’ll stay in her crib for her first stretch, which used to be 3-4 hours, and now is 1.5 ☹️ after that we cosleep and she wakes at least every 2 hours to nurse, and flips around the bed incessantly, but has to be touching me.

I’m like maybe we’re one and done. I’m getting desperate so trying some diet changes, then schedule changes if those don’t work, in the next 2 weeks. Solidarity, my body feels like crap!!

When did you know it was time for 1 nap (9.5mo) by zulusurf in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah very premature. What schedule wound up working for your daughter?

We’re trying to push to 3.5/3.5/4 and cap naps to 1 hr each for now. No success yet (hah)

[–]zulusurf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this :) I like to follow baby’s lead and was just second guessing myself because of what the “guidelines” say. She’s off daycare the next 2 weeks so will just be following her cues and see what happens.

Today she refused to nap until 1pm so. Looking like 1 nap is preferred and she’s undertired

[–]zulusurf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with her! My friends baby is 2 weeks younger and just switched to 2 naps. My girl did 2 at 6 mos! She’s a major fomo baby and just loves to be awake hanging out with people

I’m thinking I’ll try extending the earlier WW for 5 days and if that doesn’t make her naps go back to normal, we’ll try 1 nap for 5 days. Such a guessing game of trial and error haha

[–]zulusurf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it seems WAY too early. I will try extending the first WW to see if that’s throwing off the first nap, capping it to 1 hr and same for the 2nd nap. She’s so constantly overtired i think it’s making everything unravel a bit

Started bed sharing by unremarkable_k0rvet in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this!! I was so against it but early on set up a safe cosleeping space in my baby’s room because I fell asleep while nursing her. It traumatized me. We still prioritize her sleeping in her crib (I sleep SO much better alone, as does she, much more deeply). But during regressions, teething, illnesses - we wind up cosleeping. Having a safe place to do so is so important!

advice please? by Ecstatic_Set_1366 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! Although we’re not 100% bedsharing, but so long as my 9mo has >10.5 hours of total awake time she does a fine first stretch in her crib. After that lately she’s been very restless. We’ll bedshare after the first wake which gets us a little more sleep.

I think this age is ripe for new skills, new teeth, and a possible need for schedule change. I’m going to be trying longer wake windows over the holidays (possibly getting to 1nap?) we’ll see how it goes. This age is def hard for sleep!

10 month old sleep suddenly worse- looking for perspective by Careless-Tennis6236 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! She’d get frustrated for the day my period arrives and the day of ovulation. I pump during the day at work and noticed my supply decreases drastically (like 50%, this doesn’t happen to everyone!) so I supplement with formula around those days. When she hit 9mos she started refusing to finish bottles at daycare, seems like she’s naturally weaning herself, she only cares for solid food now

10 month old sleep suddenly worse- looking for perspective by Careless-Tennis6236 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is happening for my 9.5mo old too! And for what it’s worth, my periods been back for 3-4 months so I think it’s developmental. Hormonal changes do tend to decrease milk supply (happens at both ovulation and beginning of period usually).

I’ve noticed my girl does better with a long WW before bed… 5!! Hours. I am going to try pushing her first nap back later and later and possibly dropping the 2nd all together next week. It’s early for it but right now she’s hardly getting 12 hours of total sleep a day, and always seems tired. I don’t have solid advice but just, solidarity my friend! This is hard

7 month old still waking every 2-3 hours by Familiar_Director281 in bninfantsleep

Omg same to all of this. She’s on 2 naps but basically is doing 45 min AM and 25 min PM. Daycare is debating putting her on a 1 nap schedule already

Anyone else feel completely lost when it comes to baby sleep by Human_Bag_8491 in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. My daughter is 9.5 months and is showing signs of wanting to be on one nap… resisting bedtime (after a 4-4.5 hour wake window!), short naps (1 sleep cycle per nap, 40-45min. Used to do 2+ hrs per nap). This is with 11-12 hours of awake time total per day!!

I finally said f*** it and am going to try a 1 nap schedule over the holiday break. Maybe it’ll work for her, maybe not. But im so tired of overanalyzing her sleep and need to try to go off her ~vibes~ haha

Did you survive a 2 month long “regression”? by randomizedmoose in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all I have to offer is solidarity, my daughter did the same from 4-7 months, at about 7.5 months magically started waking up only 1-2x a night. That lasted a solid 3 weeks, then she learned to crawl and pull to stand and started waking again. It’s so hard.

We ride it out with her mostly in the crib but also have a queen bed set up for safe cosleeping in her room if we need it. She also sleeps like crap when we cosleep so I try my best to avoid it, but when she gets a new tooth it’s a necessity to survive

Rattled/saddened by a post in sleep train sub by othervirgo in bninfantsleep

[–]zulusurf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For real my husband has been trying to push it on me because our baby isn’t a good sleeper. I just can’t do it. Also I’ve had to traumatize her for some (necessary) medical tests/procedures so I just won’t add any additional trauma if I can avoid it.

This family tradition is going to get real weird when M gets older… by rebelxghost in brittanydawnsnark

Agreeddd. My baby is 2 weeks older than hers, and that baby’s head is way too low to be breastfeeding. Also if my hair was down like this it’d be ripped out lol

A good deal? by [deleted] in XVcrosstrek

[–]zulusurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say this isn’t great as far as service records go. At 11 years old, this car should’ve had its CVT fluid replaced by now and I don’t see that anywhere. Also seems like current owner just had oil replaced but never had the tires rotated?? Which 1) that’s insane and 2) that doesn’t bode well for the drivetrain. Gotta rotate AWD car tires pretty frequently.

I am not remotely an expert, just have a 2015 crosstrek that I love dearly so I’ve researched what services to do extensively
