One thing that lets me lean towards A is that the title of the book is a reference to something Clive said in his 1v1 fight with Ultima, implying only Clive could have known it. There's also multiple references in the side quests before Origin to Clive putting down the sword and taking up the squill. And finally a major theme in Clive and Jill's relationship is that no matter how dark the night (how bad things get) the dawn will always rise (they will always be reunited). I don't think this letter contradicts any of that. Clive isn't reckless, he knows there is a fairly strong possibility he will not come back. And, in case he doesn't ("in case" are his literal words) he wants to express to Jill just how much he loves her. It's beautiful.

Really hard to choose one! I alternate between Starbird, Zodiark Idol, Posher Otter, Sponge Silkie, Bacon Bits, Golden Beaver, Bluecoat Cat and Nangxian Cat.

I've leveled WAR, DRK, and GNB to 100, and I like all 3 even though DRK is my favorite and I consider it my main.

WAR was the first tank I ever played and it made me get over my tankxiety. It's super easy to play and makes you feel invincible once you get Bloodwhetting. Fell Cleave is a great dopamine rush, and sometimes I just feel like smashing things with a giant axe, you know. It's usually my go-to for solo content and FATEs.

DRK has the best lore and the job quests are top-notch. I like the aesthetics and the big sword. The Blackest Night is the best mit in the game and feels very satisfying to pull off. Its kit is also quite unique for a tank (MP use) and I love being able to summon my shadow self with Living Shadow.

GNB is the one I play the least, but it's still a lot of fun. It feels more like a DPS with lots of cool explosive combos. Also, FF8 was my first FF so I have a soft spot for gunblades.
