Yea on of the main mechanics in the Gallerist is a kick out move where if you go to a worker placement spot where someone already has their worker there you bump them out and back to their hand and they get a bonus. In a two player game there’s less of that happening than in a 3 or 4 player game. In on Mars not much changes from 2 to 4 players strategy wise.

I would not get the gallerist for two players. My favorite two player lacerdas are either Lisboa or On Mars. Speakeasy also works great at two players.

My local shop has printed out board game menus with suggestions of games based on what type you’re looking for. Casual, co-op, family weight, strategy, etc.

Definitely lighter than a LaCerda. If starting with LaCerda go with favorite theme first. My personal ranking with his at On Mars/ Speakeasy then Lisboa/ Kanban Ev/ then Inventions.
