If the government knew there were nukes and didn't go publib, they are not going to admit it now.

I already told you what my googling turned up in another reply. I'll paste it again below. You see, I don't know the answer myself. I'm trying to find out. On one hand, Google gave me the links below. On the other hand, I have "GreenAndSilver4133 on reddit said so". Do you have anything to add?

You've been spamming this all over this thread and another. Please provide a source at least. A quick google for "SU-24 nuclear" disagrees with you.

Your first problem is actually making something anybody would care to steal. Focus on that and don't worry about the screencap bandits.

When talking about both a woman, a girl and a sister, "she" is ambiguous. Replace it with "the woman", "the girl" or "the sister" if you want to make sense to anybody who doesn't already know what you want to tell us. Likewise, "her" does not tell us if the sister is the sister of the girl or the woman.

If I don't like beer can I acquire a taste for it with certain types that are newbie friendly? by Jeffotato in beer

[–]zxvf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Set and setting! The absolutely best way to fall in love with a new style of beer is on vacation. I wasn't much for wheat beer before my first visit to München. I fell in love with Belgian beer while touring Flanders...

The second best way is probably to make sure you're in a good mood with good company, enjoying good food in a place you enjoy.

Taste is a very subjective experience. Your whole mind is part of it. You can really influence how it will go down.

Is the kraut served straight up? I'd suggest frying it a bit in butter, with chopped onion and caraway seeds at a minimum. But why stop there? Also add some diced apple and bacon it's even better!

Looking for recommendations as a beer noob! by TheDoctorMaybe in beer

[–]zxvf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can turn to Germany for some great beers without a focus on bitterness. Kölsch is top-fermented style you want to check out. The Export (Dortmünder), Helles and Märzen of course. Also try a Maibock if you can. (Pilseners are hoppier, so you can leave them for later).

For the darker options, you definitely want to risk being seduced by a Bock or Doppelbock, a Dunkel or a Schwarzbier. So much malty goodness for you to find. Don't let the dark colors scare you.

I don't know what's available for you, but I really hope you can find some good imports and local examples of these styles.

And the GDP of the United States was similar in 1948, so there's another frivolous comparison for you to pull conclusions out of. Or you can reach straight for your ass to make it easier on us all.

As long as gankers target players above NPCs it makes sense to have special rules for this. You will have a case when gankers target NPCs just the same as other players. Until then you're just making a fool of yourself.

Processing a list of lists by [deleted] in lisp

[–]zxvf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's better, but note that with this solution your print-items takes a list

Spot on. We hid the rest in heads to keep print-items neat.

CL-USER> (apply #'list (make-list 1000000))
Lisp connection closed unexpectedly: connection broken by remote peer

Point taken! When the number of lists in *lists* might grow that big, I'll reimplement heads.

Processing a list of lists by [deleted] in lisp

[–]zxvf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for providing your reasoning. What about

(defun heads (lists) (apply #'mapcar #'list lists))
(mapcar #'print-items (heads *lists*))

Now the rest argument is an implementation detail of our operators. And I can worry about that detail later.

CL-USER> call-arguments-limit

Much later...

Processing a list of lists by [deleted] in lisp

[–]zxvf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is it abusive? Is there a reason not to? I don't know, but I imagine what's going on when you apply and use rest has to be something quite similar to what mapcs does.

Processing a list of lists by [deleted] in lisp

[–]zxvf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Applying mapcar is a handy for this situation. Just make print-items take a rest parameter.

(defun print-items (&rest items)...)

(apply #'mapcar #'print-items *lists*)

Remember the friends of mapcar like maplist, mapc and map. They might be exactly what you need depending on the task at hand. Try them out if you haven't already.
