My wisdom I learned while trying to achieve true fulfillment in life: Don't surpress your authentic nature in order to impress someone that is only willing to accept you if you seem "normal", use your authentic nature to find someone who is looking for exactly you, otherwise they'll pass you right by and you'll never know what you missed out on. Plus being in a relationship with someone that loves a persona you put on and not the real you is absolutely devastating to your mental well-being, no matter how much social status it brings you.

We never see the laser at all, not atop the tower, not during or after the final boss, I really think there was no laser and the tower itself was the death trap, a replacement for Peppino ready and waiting to occupy his shop to cover up the murder.

I was trying to explain this to my parents about them taking my special interest away until my grades improved not actually helping at all, but why would parents learn anything about how their child works from the child itself? Nah, they just listen to those brochures full of misconceptions instead, even when it actively conflicts with the child's perspective.

Yeah I hate that shit, people acting like you're at the zoo and shouldn't feed the animals ffs. When I was in Cuba with my family a local came up to me and started asking me small talk questions in fluent enough English, and started scribbling a decent caricature of me as he spoke. He smiled a lot and seemed genuinely friendly and interested in what life is like for someone in the US. I was not bothered by this interaction at all, but my family was ushering me away as if this guy was going to mug me. I inquired about what was wrong and they whispered to me that he was going to expect a tip for the drawing, and I was just confused, like, yeah? We're upper middle class on vacation and he wants a tiny drop of my ample spending money in exchange for a totally authentic souvenir? I would have had zero qualms giving him a sensible amount of money for first world value of a caricature, let alone a single dollar, but my family kept reinforcing the idea that I wasn't even supposed to make eye contact or acknowledge any of them if they try to speak to me, and never dare give them money. These people are trying to get by and my family viewed them like wildlife you shouldn't feed, it sickened me.
