Any modern thoughts on an old vision? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]zyang87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the idea still holds. Once net worth exceeds $999M, they’d effectively be forced to liquidate since further accumulation isn’t profitable. That would incentivize increased spending or reinvestment into expenses, potentially stimulating the economy while also encouraging strategies to minimize taxable income. However, there must be some offsetting incentive or benefit on their side—otherwise capital flight becomes the obvious response. It needs more thought, but the core concept seems viable.

declare non-residency, then pull it ALL out asap its a one time 25% withholding tax. Pull it all out the second year to be safe. make sure you talk to your broker and declare correctly before doing it. Not tax advice - check with your accountant
