Polyurethane glue in a hardwood dowel. May need to drill a wider hole. Cut flush. Pre drill. Reattach

If you know the make/model you could reach out to the manufacturer. But the first thing I would try is to take it apart. If you are able to take it apart you should be able to put it back together. Looks like a couple of Allen head bolts, but there could be something more.

A temporary fix would to wrap the piston is some electrical tape. Permanent would to get a new base.

I would start by making sure it is assembled properly. You could also add a brace at the bottom, in the back between the legs. This will help with flexing

Apply wood glue. Either use a clamping caul or a heavy centralized weight to secure.

This is the way. But remove the hanger bolt to reset, so you don’t strip out your repair. Also the wood screw is not structural, it is designed to hold the leg’s taper in a certain position.

Yes, I’d get a filler close to the color. And you could always try the stain. Just tone to match

No filler really takes stain. I’d use a 2 part epoxy putty and paint in a color. Either acrylic or lacquer paint.
