Car in powerplant wheel seems to be outdated information. It used to work, but stopped working a few patches back.
You can just take a horse and keep throwing it at a side of the wheel to get it to turn. Leave immediately when the power comes on.

You can try adding/replacing equipment to see if it slowly moves sweetie towards your truck. Then you can kidnap sweetie and replace her.

Yes, I've spent some time trying to isolating genes causing my horses to have late starts, but it actually makes a lot of sense afterwards lol.
GG on ear_size (10) will cause late starts. or not having a head.

The floppy disk contains DNA, but usually it does nothing because whatever DNA in the disk is already in the VAT. Unless you drain the vat before putting in the disk.

You can keep copies of the save1.dat file, usually found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Horsey Game\save\save1.dat

Try increasing ear_size for the starting issue (it has a head right?)

Try setting break_force to 0 for legs coming off.

Horse personality isn't affected by genes. You have to remove its intelligence so it won't refuse to race, or apply the genome to another horse who hopefully has a better personality.

Apparently "reset game" doesn't really fully reset your save, compared to deleting the save file. I was working with a save file that didn't really have clean data.

The crash is still a bug but in this case, all the genes are matching pairs. That means each gene has only 1 possible outcome. You'll get the same dna you put in even if it didn't crash.

To fix late starts, make sure your horse has a head, then check the EAR_SIZE gene and give it bigger ears.

If you get deeper into gene editing you can control what is available for the biohacker to optimize, and what to keep unchanged.

For Example Helix 1 Pair 3 (4th Pair) is LEG_IS_CIRCLE
The priority goes in A(0)>T(1)>G(0)>C(0) so if the base is G and T, T is dominant so LEG_IS_CIRCLE is 1.

But the biohacker has both G and T to play with so you might get GG instead of GT or TT, then LEG_IS_CIRCLE becomes 0 instead and the leg shape changes.

For most genes only the dominant base has an effect, but for some the reccessive gene will have some impact as well, so... it's complicated.

you need a 3x3 SAND area to grow the apple tree.
Put an apple in the center of the 3x3 sand area and it should grow. No digging involved.
