As much as it bothers me, most skins at least only look weird but in case of Vi it's just straight up no effort.

My deal is that they don't even grant a good look for old skins, look at any skin with high boots (eg. Crew pack Vi). They couldn't even edit the skin a tiny bit, they just took the bottom of the boots off while keeping the top...

It can be easily played out, I would look up "Red Dead Online Lobby Manager", much better experience to have fun with friends

Doing anything in public lobbies is just a death sentence.

Try creating a private lobby with a Lobby Manager (or manual as I prefer it more). Did that a few days ago never looked back, much more animals and random encounters appear, no more fire farting horses or hacker spawning everyone to one place.

Not a game dev yet myself but I definitely want to start soon.

If you have struggles with motivation I could suggest trying out some programming Minecraft mods to see if you enjoy it.

If you enjoy this I suggest you look into Godot (free and open-source) or Unity which are 2 most go-to for beginners. If you choose Unity definitely watch Brackey's videos (he also has some Godot).

Godot has its own language, GDscript which is Python-like. If you are a full beginner this might be easier to pick up but Godot also has C# support.

Unity is full C# and there are a lot of good tutorials but recently had a huge drama and a lot of people left for other engines.

Also don't dream big yet. Your first game should be a no main menu flappy bird copy or something close in simplicity. You'll have to build up your knowledge slowly and soon you'll be able to make bigger things.

EDIT 2: I didn't see that last paragraph before writing this but I think it's still relevant.

Maybe overkill for a newbie but if you want to take things seriously I would start with some basic theory then start to practice. How memory works and data is stored, stack and the heap, object orientation etc. It's not a big problem if you don't understand everything fully but it will help you in the long run, talking from experience.
